I remember watching that game like it was yesterday. In my opinion, this was the greatest team in the history of baseball. Not because of their record. Not because they went to the WS. But their character, their excitement, the way they showed love to the fans, the fans (despite many of them having no idea what baseball even was-'who is the owner of the Indians? Albert Belle?'-fan), and the fact that anyone at any point of the line up could hurt you at any time. I coach Pony. And it is sad that my kids have no idea who these guys are. I said, I may have only one regret in our season and your lives. And that is the fact that you were never able to experience and see this team. But I make sure to always bring them up when talking about team work, plays, and never giving up.
That lineup was so good that Paul Sorrento, who had 25 home runs that season, was their worst hitter. Alas, they never quite had the starting pitching to get it done. Opposite of the problems the team has today.
The greatest Indians team in my life. And the most exciting in the history of baseball! Not sure who these Guardians are, but I support my INDIANS, and ONLY my Indians.
People forget that this was the year after the strike. Winning 100 games in a full (almost full) season is impressive. Had the strike been settled sooner and if they had been able to play 162 as opposed to 144, they may have broken a record.
Attendedd enough games at the jake to know and say that the place was magical at the time and I hope this season that magic returns omg what wonderful memories
The best thing about this it didn’t even matter that we lost the World Series. Nobody expected us to even be anywhere near there. This was just a magical season and I’ll always cherish this.

That "wow" from Eckersley is priceless.

these were the good ole days. when not only was the stadium full every game but the team was so good
Good ole days when.. the Tribe was alright, they were good but not on the same level as the Yankees, Gods Team..
They’re good now!
@@joshuarobert6245 and so are the Yankees 😎😎😎

Tony pena
It is unreal how much this happened in a single season no wonder this team is in the history books of Cleveland sports
Steady Eddie, Joey's 50-50 season, and Thome's early days...did not see Tony Pena's curfew blast included, though..😊❤
Albert Belle was absolutely amazing during his years in CLE. Still my favorite Indians player of all time !!!
I'm an Indians fan, not a Guardians fan.
Go tribe
What a year
I want my, THESE INDIANS back. GO TRIBE.
The greatest offensive team ever. There will never be a team like that.
They should have won like 3-4 World Series.
If Albert Belle hadn't been a cancer to the locker room, the team may have won a few championships.
It's always great to watch a clutch Cleveland win no matter the year. Here's to more walkoff Tribe victories this season!
I watched every game that year

No
Nope that’s the Yankees Gods Team..
The New York Yankees the Greatest North American Baseball Team Ever…
One of the greatest and most unbelievable underdog stories of all time it’s a shame we couldn’t finish it
lol, you got that right, thanks to the Braves, Marlins and Gods Team the Yankees…
The best thing about this it didn’t even matter that we lost the World Series. Nobody expected us to even be anywhere near there. This was just a magical season and I’ll always cherish this.
