- We did NOT think we would be here right now. After Jessi's ER visit and the surprise 10cm cyst they found, we've been waiting until we could do an MRI to get more information. Well, we finally got the results, but since we're down to the wire, right before we're supposed to leave for Italy, we aren't sure what's going to happen. We talk to our Italian IVF clinic tomorrow so when we have news, we will share it with you guys!!

Deep breath you guys. You’re are so close. My wife and I know from experience , the hardest thing is patience and faith. From start to finish it took us 11 years 3 months and 21 days to get to the birth of our son. All because of the curvy road of ivf. Even then he was 29 weeks and had a extended stay in the nicu. Y’all are way ahead of us already. Lean on each other always and try to remember that this journey is based on the love you two have for each other and will grow overwhelmingly when your precious baby arrives. Hang in there.

The hardest thing about IVF is patience and faith in your doctors. Speaking as a mom of two IVF babies, suffering from endometriosis, having 2 laparoscopic surgeries and being a doctor myself.

I did my egg retrieval at 35, but Dr recommended to go and get a polyp removed, before the transfer. My surprise was that it wasn't only a polyp, I had a 9cm cyst on my ovary, which was removed along with my whole tube/ovary. All these things were done in a matter of 1 year and 3 months. Finally I could have my transfer last year and this January I gave birth to my baby boy! Don't get discourage, have patience. At the end everything will be worth it. Sending lots of prayers to you!
Don’t give up! A lady that I follow (Trinny Woodall, CEO and founder of Trinny London) had 17 ivf rounds before a successful birth. She has one daughter who I believe is now twenty. She never gave up and was finally blessed with a healthy child. You’re such a delightful couple and are so deserving of good fortune. I’m really rooting for you. 🙏🙏

I don’t know how rich this “Trinny” is but as far as I know.. through a personal experience.. not everyone’s a millionaire to be able to keep paying the riculous prices for each ivf round, ESPECIALLY 17 rounds of it..to be lucky enough to get a daughter 🙄Are you living in your RICH little fairy land? Most couples do not have the finances to try 17 times (I suppose this couple does) but not what the masses would consider..”the average couple.🌻🪦So yea everybody! 😃 don’t give up!!! YAY! Ummm…in Europe it’s normal to get 3 rounds of ivf. She paid for the extra 14, each round costs 10k approx

Would it be possible for you to go to Italy NOW and have whatever needs to be done (surgery, different meds, etc.) there instead of here? I'm thinking everything would go smoother, better, safer there! 🙏🙏🙏😇🥰
Was thinking the same thing ... This is so complicated, it would make my head spin. All the flying back and forth and the different regulations ... Wouldn't it be easier (and more environmentally friendly) to just move there for the time being?

For the flight, don't panic. Now with the Italian train from Paris to Venice, it's way easier and cheaper. Fly up to Paris then book your train ticket from paris "gare de Lyon" train station up to venice

I had my first cycle canceled at the end because I got pretty bad ovarian hyperstimulation Syndrome. (Also, I was able to get all my stim meds from France, which saved us a lot of money! It's sad that you can't just do that anymore!) My body needed about 5 months after that canceled cycle to heal enough for an ideal transfer environment. The wait was SO hard, but it was worth it. My daughter is 22 now and an amazing light in the world. Whatever time it takes, may you have peace and may it be worth the wait. We're all pulling for you.
Jessi, I just want to give you a huge hug. I can see your eyes are different in this video. Turbulence is common and definitely scary. But in the end the plane always lands where it's intended to go. You two deserve the best, and you have so many people sending love your way. Sending you comfort ❤

Y'all are keeping a happy, even-keeled attitude which is a huge plus. Unfortunately, the medical professionals aren't as invested as y'all. It's really sad that they make it so much more difficult than it needs to be. Ironically, after all this effort y'all put into this, if you finally came to the conclusion that you would adopt instead, you'd probably end up getting pregnant. That's the way life works.
Stress causes cortisol to rise higher, and stress of trying to have a baby is very stressful even if you are trying to be positive…high cortisol makes it extremely hard to become pregnant. So, when couples decide to adopt, and not long after, they are incredibly happy and in love with the child you brought home to love…..your high cortisol lowers back down to normal, and being very busy with your child, loving your child & celebrating that you are now a family….then, you get pregnant with out stress to get pregnant & even sex is better again, as it’s not a procedure anymore! I have been a childbirth educator for over 3 decades and I have had dozens of couples that have adopted and were very happy, then they are taking my birth class to have their babies! It’s incredible to witness!!! Cortisol is very powerful. Also, the stress from trying to lose weight, makes it difficult because of high cortisol keeps you from losing weight!
This is not always true. We didn't. We adopted a beautiful baby girl. It was as if she was meant for us!

I'm so grateful for your love. In good times and bad, the love is literally visceral through the screen. I hope you both understand how many lives you both are touching in a positive way by sharing your story. My suggestion after splitting time between Paris and NYC for over 48 years and navigating the French and US health systems. Certain meds are not available in the US. Get everything in writing from the surgeon who operated in January and even have her call Italy directly . Then fly to Italy and stay there for the medication and the procedure. When there are complications , it is impossible to deal with both Italian and US systems . I speak from experience. Don’t give up just because of the bureaucracy!

I didn't do IVF. I took only pills and went to an endocrinologist in the Houston Texas medical center. It was a long time ago. I ended up having two children. Now I'm a grandma of an 8 year old. It was such a a crazy time in my life it felt like a rollercoaster. When I got pregnant it felt like the rollercoaster going backwards. My second pregnancy...came on it's own. Hang in there. ❤ From Texas.

Have you heard of Dr. Poppy? She's a doctor here in the states (she's in Ozark, MO) that has helped a lot of "lost cause" cases have a baby/ babies. She does virtual consults and appointments as well.

I’m so sorry you guys are going through this process. It’s so trying on all levels. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and lost my right tube due to an ectopic. After many years of trying nothing was happening and I resorted to IVF, the first transfer took but ended up in a miscarriage at 8 weeks I was heartbroken and did not want to try again (this was after many surgeries) so my mind and body were exhausted.
When I finally collected to courage to start treatment again I hit a couple of bumps in the road again one being an infection after one of the surgeries to remove a polyp and it took me months to recover so again had to stop treatment.
I would hate when people would tell me to not lose faith but now being on the other side (and I haven’t forgotten the pain of wanting to be a mom) I ask you not lose hope and now I truly understand Gods timing is truly perfect. I truly wish you guys a much smoother ride and hope your arms are soon full with so much love than you know what to do with ❤

I’m so sorry you both. I know this whole process has been so stressful and I feel your pain. I’m an IVF due to endo momma. the first transfer didn’t work, then I had all sorts of issues with the medication and insurance for the second round, I really didn’t think it would ever happen, but it somehow worked out and I’m looking at a beautiful little girl. keep your head up and keep trucking.
