Honestly, it sounds like the mom attacked Leigh in Leigh’s room and killed her in the middle of the night. Realized what she had done and dragged her down the stairs and put her in a bag of some sort, hence the blood pool, and blood in the stair way. She then tried to cover her tracks and goes into her master bathroom to clean up. Hence the blood in the sink. It’s early in the morning and she goes and dumps her body.
She then goes back to her home and concocts a story that made it sound like she was a loving mother. “I let her sleep in my bed” “ I knew everything in her closet” “ This was the first time I ever left her alone, so we made up a secret call”
All I’m saying was it was all to suspicious. Especially, now that in recent years that they have uncovered that back in the 70’s and 80’s they had a version of give your kids to someone on the internet, and writing groups on ideas to get rid of your kids.

Maybe Vicky had been physically abusing Leigh that morning (all the blood) and Leigh changed before Vicky left (knew the outfit). Then maybe something else happened such as a runaway or a quick abduction (if she went outside to calm down). Perhaps Vicky tried to call so soon because she "felt bad" and wanted to check in. When she got back home she knew the blood was from her so wasn't surprised enough to call the police asap. She could've eventually failed the polygraph tests because she had some guilt in her abuse but didn't want to shift the spotlight to herself as a suspect by admitting so.

I personally don’t think it’s the guy because he kidnapped the 15 yr old girl but only raped her and didn’t kill her I just think the guy wishes he did but didn’t actually like a fetish 🤷🏽‍♀️

He could have chose to kill Leigh because he let the first girl go and she told on him he may have decided to silence this victim so she wouldn’t do the same. Jacob wetterling’s killer let all his other victims go that he assaulted except Jacob, so it’s not uncommon.

Does anyone else think that Leigh holds an astonishing resemblance to Lily Rabe from American Horror Story.. they were also born around the same time!

In my opinion, the reason the mom came across as if she had guilt heavy on her conscience is, understandably in my opinion, that she truly was/does feel like it's her fault and she feels so guilty for leaving Lee home alone for the first time and knowing jus the level of anxiety Lee was having having to be there alone and that can easily explain why she left work so early because she felt heartbroken thinking about her daughter at home and in absolute terror and she also was worried that she would get stuck at work because the weather and she new it was getting worse and she understood it was getting worse very quickly. As for her knowing what lee was wearing, again in my opinion, is that it could be a good possibility that she would have Lee plan her outfit the night before because as she had been in the military it is crucial for perfect organization and routine and everything to be done in perfection. My dad was Vietnam vet and till the day he physically could not even so much as eat orally, talk, and move his body on his own, would do as was done in his career as a marine. the polly test results can be due to, as I theorized previously, that she truly believed it to be her fault. I also think that the reason she down played the situation of Lee being missing is because she was feeling an enormous amount of shame and beating herself up and she cared about what he would feel if he also would think that it's her fault and she should be ashamed for leaving her alone knowing how scared she was and in that kind of weather conditions. She just felt like if he was told the whole thing that she would in a sense get validation of what she was already feeling about herself even tho its not her fault cuz she couldn't have predicted something like this would even be a worse case scenario let alone something like this would happen to her daughter. I dont doubt that she probably was strict due to her time in the military but abuse I feel that those were looked at a little too much and only seemed serious once this horrific incident occurred. Majority of step parents are hateful to the kids. Step parent ate hateful more than a step parent not. But I could be wrong. I feel like as hard as the negative possibilities are looked hard at and discussed, the positive reasonings should be part of the possibilities as well because so many times I've noticed that the solo negative views have put honestly innocent people in prison for most their lives or even their the rest their lives.

I live about 30 minutes from where this happened. I was only a year and half when everything happened. Everybody around hear has a theory about what happened. I’m so happy youtubers like you are covering the case because I feel like it hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves.

I feel like the predator that befriended her knowing she liked horses sounds like a prime suspect, in comparison to the mother. The mother sounds like somebody who can be a bit paranoid and that buckles under a lot of pressure. The fact that they have a special ring, that she let her sleep in bed with her, and the fact that she raced home so quickly could be a mother's intuition but also guilt. This was the first time she left her daughter alone so paranoia and mother's-guilt would have been at an all time high that day. As for the ex-boyfriend, could even be that she broke up with him due to his treatment of her daughter. If she is someone who is very panicked and paranoid, it could explain the polygraph and the state of denial when telling her daughter's father. Her daughter was in her care and she was perhaps afraid that he would blame her. The lack of motive is what gets me with her. The pedophile that re-offended and knew her shortly after her disappearance just seems more likely.

Thank you for being respectful. Thank you for not making disgusting jokes like some of the other CZcams channels. Narcissists. Thanks for being respectful and thoughtful. I usually don't make comments and comment sections at least this type of video, but I saw this on another CZcams channel first and did a search, the case really shook me up. I hope that she's somewhere alive right now. But it doesn't look good and I agree with your thoughts. I hope whoever did this gets what they deserve
