Follow up: Kevin obviously didn't like the marbles or the glass container as they were super loud. I ended up putting the softer items like the pom poms and felt strips into a cloth bag that doubled as a bonding bag. He loved that a lot more. Hope that helps! I'm not sure if the marbles are a smart idea, due to curious hedgehogs he might try to eat them..the rest of it was ok, but you should be more focused in your videos, just a tip. ;P
I didn't use a heating lamp while I owned Kevin. When I first got him I put a heating pad under the cage where he would sleep and put it on the lowest heat setting. He didn't like it and seemed to climatize to my house. He was neglected by his previous owners that left him in the garage and that was a lot colder, so I guess he just got used to it. Then when he got to my house it was a lot warmer than living in a garage.
I used really hot water in my laundry sink with gentle liquid hand soap. I tended to let it soak while I did other chores around the house, then came back and scrubbed with a designated "nail" brush from the dollar store. Soaking it in the hot water really helped. I cleaned his wheel and his cage about once a week.
