Here I am sitting indoors in southern Finland, wet snow flying horizontally past the window, wind 20m/s sometimes up to 30. Watching this video for probably the seventh time and dreaming of being far away with this beauty.

A stunning yacht, back in November we were docked in Gibraltar on an Oyster 485, later that week the 495 pulled in to the birth next to us.
When the shakedown crew were having their sundowner, I asked to come aboard for a tour and they welcomed me aboard, I was impressed by how this beautiful boat was build. As an engineer I also got a good look at all the technical areas and I was equally impressed by how this boat is put together. I also crewed on an Oyster 56 and from my impression the 495 is almost as spacious as the 56.

Lack of reasonable size refrigeration and freezer space is a killer. Beautiful craft, many amenity’s including some unique ones. Without sizable frig/freezer… she is just a costal cruiser
That’s a ton of money for a coastal cruiser.need a bigger refrigerator and a bigger freezer.otherwise I wouldn’t leave the dock!!
Optional large fridge freezer available in the companionway between the nav station and the owners bedroom, washer dryer fits in their as well
It might not have been clear, but there is a fridge in the galley and a freezer over behind the nav station. So the amount of cold storage is actually decent. And then there's the small fridge in the cockpit table.
Is this your standard excuse for staying at the sofa? The fridge is too small ?

Where is the dingy stored and no room for solar power without a hard top over cockpit.
Beautiful boat, my only area of concern is the saildrive.
In 2023 I would expect high end boat builders to be incorporating advanced battery systems like Lithium with associated electronics and large alternators. Clever incorporation of solar would also have been useful after all this is supposed to be a Blue Water cruiser and has been designed from scratch.
That is all original owners choices, if you order a yacht from Oyster they are happy to incorporate everything your hart desires.

Lovely boat, too bad it doesn't have an interior helm station, so the boat is not suitable for high latitude sailing
