- Zoom is an American television program for ages eight and up, created almost entirely by children. It originally aired on PBS from January 4, 1999 to May 6, 2005. It was a remake of a 1972 TV series by the same name. Both versions were produced by WGBH-TV in Boston.
*Those were NOT Zoe's children, she's a Aunt, not mom! Sorry!

@Biblechick-zo1kb love the name!đ
Damn u old asf
I grew up without cable tv, so PBS was my channel, my sisters and I didn't missed zoom, arthur and Clifford the big red dog, thank you for the video! I believe I sent a poem once đ đđ€Łđ
aww, awesome!! Yeah I LOVED CLIFFORD! Not this age one tho, smh the old Clifford lol.
@@WhitneyDavisGo John Ritter did such a great job.
Same !!!
Dragon tales??
Same here :)
I use to love their cooking segments
Me too! Iâd run to the kitchen to make sure we had everything!!!
I liked it when they did the Zoom do.
Same here
They're needs to be a petition for pbs kids to make a retro channel
OMG yes!!!!
Oh I LOVED this! Talk about serious nostalgia. My dad, Kenny, was actually one of the original cast members of Zoom in 1972. In the early 90s, the producers sent all the cast members VHS tapes of most of seasons 1 & 2, I binged watched them like crazy in elementary school. I remember being SO hype when they rebooted in the 2000s! Talk about obsession lol
Tell your Dad that I saw him on Zoom (I was 10 years old).
You've got to get him to do a video reunion . I'll be 60 tomorrow and i watched ZOOM
That's awesome! Who was Jon from his season & why does he look so familiar?
Funny thing was, it was filmed in Boston & I used to see some of the cast waiting for the bus after school. I was SO JEALOUS!
Aww!!! Oh wow!!! Cool!!!! đ I bet!
Which ones?
Lynese did not just hit us with the Bankhead Bounce?!?! đđđ
đ
Mr. Marzett and she twerked at 1:02
Shut up!!!!!! đ now ima have to go back and watch it!!!
She was the only one who could dance lol she put them other kids to shame.
đđđđđđ
Just seeing this intro brought so memories back to me. Woow. Remember so much when i as 9 yrs old in 99'. I didnt miss zoom and arthur for nothing.
Me neither!
Angel Dominguez me too đđđ
YES! Or Zoboomafoo!
The 90's.
And now I'm turning 30 this year. :-|
@@Indiegirl007 Same. Zoom, Arthur, Zoboomafoo, and RedWall were my favorite shows to watch growing up. And now I'm 28... where does the time go?
@@superdog1227 I am 27 and yep PBS was awesome.
I knew Jared very well. I was part of these drama camps all the time from a certain company and he was one of the acting coaches. He was so incredibly sweet and I miss him...
I can tell he was very nice. Why does it always happen to the good ones?
đł wow! Do you know any details as what happened in his accident?...
Know that the Lord didnât take him, but he has him... death is a ugly being at times but itâs in life we appreciate the time we have and memories we had.
@@WhitneyDavisGo unfortunately I dont know many details. They didnt want to traumatize the kids that were in his drama camp section since we were so young
Aww he seemed so sweet. Awesome to hear. Bless you!
Wow, can't believe it's been 20 years since I watched Zoom as a kid on PBS. Cherish every moment and each stage of life people, because time flies.
Yes!
Yassssss so true
Zoe is actually the head of social media for BarkBox. She's not the founder/owner.
Thanks Iâll update my descriptions!
You know you're getting old when you see a nostalgic cast reunion for your favorite childhood show, and find out it's a cast reunion from the show's remake.
đł omg really?!?
Omg Lynese was my favorite she was so down to earth!! Also she looks exactly the same. RIP Jared I had the biggest crush on him
Thank you đđ
Wow. I remember trying to find out how to audition for this show
đ me too!!!! But my mom was like girl! Itâs in Boston!! We in Texas!
Lol she was not having it lol
Boston mass 02134
I recently discovered this show, as well as the original from the â70s, and itâs really intriguing to see what the kids are up to now. Rest well, Jared đą
Lynese had the best dance....
YES!!!
Thank you!!! đđ
I grew up during the era of first generation of the ORIGINAL TV show Zoom (my friends and I watched every day after school), it aired from January 9, 1972 - May 24, 1978. I actually went to elementary with Zoom cast member Carmen Hernandez (Season 4, 1974-1975).
My son grew up watching the second generation of Zoom (your generation, 1999-2005), and he loved the show just as much as I did growing up! It was a great TV show (both fun & educational), and would be nice if PBS created a newer, third generation of Zoom.
.
You know if we all send them letters and send letters to Pablo maybe just maybe we can make it happen.
We'd be old old by then!
I'd care less by that! I'd reminisce over the second generation of Zoom, since I was 11-12 at the time!
Thank you so much for doing the research on on of my favorite childhood shows!! I appreciate the work you put into it.
Thank you for making this đđđ
Iâll be doing the season 2 soon!
Zoom was definitely the show to watch back then. Nice to see everyone in the cast is doing well.
Thank you so much for making and posting this!!! I was 11 in 1999 and loved watching this show. I actually got the idea for my 10th grade science project from Zoom's Zlime episode using cornstarch and water...I got 100% on it and my teacher loved it! I now have an 8 year old daughter who I am introducing to zoom by showing her old episodes. Great video, thanks again!!! Also, you have the most beautiful and vibrant smile I've ever seen :)
I used to watch this when I was 4 now Iâm 25 đ oh man the awesome nostalgia. Thanks for posting this video. RIP Jared ...
damn your 27 going on 28 soon đ
This was so needed đ â€
đđ„č
Thanks a lot Whitney that was awesome!
i miss this show a whole lot.

M SO ooh ok! Iâll get it out for you!!! Iâll work on it this week!!!
Zoom was THE JAM â€ïž
Zoom was such a good show! I learned so much from that show. Thank you. And RIP Jared.
So great. I've actually met one of the later Zoomers several times.... Season 3 and 4 cast member Kaleigh Cronin is still performing and now doing shows on Broadway.
Oh wow really?!!!Awesome!
@@WhitneyDavisGo I saw Kaleigh on Broadway in the 2014 revival of CABARET (with Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams) and 2018 in SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL.
Kaleigh was also on Broadway in the musical version of A BRONX TALE. Before this time of Quarantine, she was performing in the new musical version of MRS. DOUBTFIRE. The show was in preview performances and was scheduled to open this month. She is expecting to continue when Broadway performances resume. In addition, Kaleigh also appeared on the National Tour of JERSEY BOYS where she met her husband musician John DiSimini (he subs in the pit of several Broadway shows).
FUN FACT: Kaleigh performed in CABARET during a notable incident where Shia LaBeouf was in the audience and got arrested for disruptive behavior during the entire first act. She also understudied the leading lady role of Sally Bowles going on various times including when Emma Stone (who took over from Michelle Willians) went to the SAG Awards.
Jared was the all time best. He wanted to be an actor and he would have been a great one.
I know right?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So sad
For awhile I thought it was the guy from Gilmore Girls and Supernatural. Because his name was also Jared and he looked like Jared from Zoom.
@@simplyjuannie5128 That Jared Padalecki is like 6'4 though?
Thanks for the updates!
Zoe doesnât own BarkBox but she is the head of their social media department! â€ïž
I was a younger man when it aired as I was in my 20's and loved the show, I always wondered from time to time 15-20 years later what there up to today, thank you as it brought a smile to my face as it was very amusing to see they all grew up to be productive people,it was great seeing them again.
Thank you for this
Aww absolutely!!
So awesome. Thank you for taking the time to do this :)
Always enjoyed watching them and feeling connected in 2nd grade when I was 7 and 8 years old. Now seeing them older and with families is almost unreal. It was such a short period of time from 1999 when it started to now 2020!
I loved this! Lynesse was my girl & you got a new subbie!

May Jared rest in peace.
My 5th grade teacher would always make us watch ZOOM while eating lunch. I miss those days!!
Please do Fetch with Ruff Ruffman. Some of the cast of Zoom were on Fetch and the show ended at season 5 or 6. That was also my childhood.
Gotcha! Doing ALL 8 of the seasons of Zoom so hang tight!

Same! And Kenny
I grew up with the 70's Zoom cast. I'd love to know where they're at.
Watched this after school everyday
Actually, Zoom first aired in 1972... Perhaps, waaay before your time. Zoom had the same effect on my parents. I was practically raised on those early reruns. My folks use to have them on VHS... Technology that no longer exists (at least to my knowledge). I wish to god that I had the wisdom to "SAVE THOSE TAPES"... when VHS technology phased out. (sob)
Yes, I'm aware, but these reviews are from my generation. Yeah, I still have a few VHS my mom still has a VCR so I from time to time can go back into time. These times really need some of our goodness from back then gosh.
