Very cool for me, as an old white guy who grew up listening to this music, and feeling it to the depth of my soul, to see another generation of listeners, especially young black people, feeling it too. Music is powerful magic.

Robert wrote this as a thank you song for his wife, Maureen after she gave birth to their daughter Carmen.
But she also supported them until his career picked up, she was a nurse.

What a beautiful song by a great band! My wife and I requested this tune and danced to it at our wedding. Next, ya gotta check out "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" (studio version) off of the Led Zeppelin III album (1970), there’s nothing else like it. Acoustic heaven! ✌️

When my uncle got married, his wife was in charge of everything regarding the wedding ceremony except for one thing, he got to pick the wedding song and, my uncle being one of the biggest Led Zeppelin fans, picked “Thank You”. We got to see Robert Plant many years later and Plant always performs this song. Great memory

I borrowed some of the lyrics in my wedding vows to my wife. Sadly, we are no longer together. So this song always chokes me up because I loved the lyrics borrowed and my wife. It even tears me up to write this. Great song by one of my favorite bands of all time 😢

The MOST beautiful love song ever!
When I was in first grade my teacher yelled at me for something and I told my mom about it. My mom wrote a not so nice letter in my notebook to deliver to her the next day. Unfortunately my mom used to also doodle in our books. So the next day instead of giving her the letter chastising her I gave her the lyrics to Led Zeppelin Thank You. The teacher thought it was so sweet she almost cried. It didn't last long as the next day I gave her the letter actually meant for her.

I was 16 in 1978 when my family moved from CA to Valier, Montana for a year. I was floored when I heard the local TV station was using the beautiful synth part at the end of the song for it's station ID music. I was a REAL Zepp fan by then, and I recognized it immediately. The Great John Paul Jones on keyboards. Gorgeous song -thanks you guys...

I love watching you both take the journey down the Led Zeppelin path. You’ve covered so many of my favorite. Three that I love and that you haven’t yet heard are “Trampled Underfoot,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You” (studio version) and “The Rover.” Three very different sides of their incredible kaleidoscope.
People tend to forget, but Led Zeppelin was a 1960s band (they started in the 60s) that progressed through the 70s. This right here is that sound of the late 60s as it moves towards to the 1970s. Most of the super groups of the 70s had their start in the 1960s. The second album of theirs was a great album , still one of my favorites of theirs.
The sun will not refuse to shine until a few billion years have passed. Mountains take millions of years to crumble to the sea. So I guess he is saying he will be loving her for a long long time.

Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band. I've been trying for over 3 years to get you two to react to the band Rival Sons, start with the song Pressure and Time. They are what I would call it modern day Led Zeppelin.
Although it may be widely known…but rarely mentioned. The sneaky fingers of John Paul Jones wrote this organ piece - which Robert then created a love song around it. This group was made up of two highly polished, first call London session men, and two country boys. When they got together, it just worked.
Some times you get some Rock with a ton of Blues and sometimes you get some Blues and a ton of Rock, but you always get an accustic treat and a smile.
Nice reaction! Another Zeppelin tune you might like is "The Rain Song". Or from another group from that era that also have thought provoking ballads, Uriah Heep, that have always had ballads on their albums such as "If I Had the Time" or "The Dance" or "Lady in Black" or "Come Back to Me". It was actually the very first video I watched of you before your better half joined you. If you can't find the live version in your archive, could you please react to the studio version (Led Zeppelin III). Frankly, I'd love to hear you guys react to the entire first Led Zeppelin album, which is SO bluesy. We all know how much she loves bluesy tunes and I would love to hear her reaction to that incredible performance. 🙂
