- I went fishing on this less explored lake about 60km east of Vancouver
This lake has/had a good population of wild rainbows and Cuties but looks like someone introducedbass and, yellow perch in this lake.
I went to try my luck fishing this lake near Vancouver and primarily targeting large mouth bass and man it was a great day.
I caught about 20 bass big and small in 4 hours
A lot of it was due to the fact that this lake gets very low fishing pressure and the bass are willing to take most of the lures you throw at them
I was using BFS (Bait Finesse System) gear today
Kastking Zephyr BFS
Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra
Sabre JKS 51
Ace Hawk AG venom
Kawa SSOKIN 634
Telescopic BFS rod from AliExpress
Non BFS gear
Kastking Valiant Eagle
Kastking Max Steel
Lures:
Booyah Micro pond Magic Spinnerbait
Booyah Frog
Yakima bait Rooster tail
I try to record my experiences fishing and fish for Bass around Vancouver at
Deer Lake
Mill Lake
Pitt Marsh
I also fish in India when I am there
Snakehead fishing
Barramundi fishing
Grouper fishing
Snapper fishing
Bandra Fishing
Mumbai Fishing

I know this lake and i wanted to say i appreciate that you make content without giving away the exact locations. The best part of enjoying the outdoors is exploring and discovering things yourself without relying on the internet. Props brother
Thanks bro!
I know that is indeed the best part about fishing. Explore, find a ditch, river, pond or a lake. Check the regulations and just go try it yourself.
I've fished this lake a couple times, never knew there was bass in it. Awesome
Not sure if it's actually good that there is bass in a lot of places where they shouldn't be in the Fraser Valley.
I like to target them anyways, they are fun lol
Happy to find another bfs fisherman! I also fish for bass in Vancouver
BFS is indeed gaining some traction across Canada!
this is the most effective way of catching bass@@crankbaiter_fishing
This really does look like a trout lake at first glance. Great Fishing!
It was, till people put bass and perch in it
@@JohnJames. Do you know when this was screwed up?
@@crankbaiter_fishing I don’t myself, but talking with older guys at the local tackle shop, they where shocked, and mad. I’ve caught one trout from there, just started fishing it last year. Been very slow there lately, still cold I’m guessing. Still debating where to fish tomorrow
The b.c. government imported trout in the 20's. These fish have been in our systems for 100 years now. No point in being mad about. Trout fishing isn't bad in the lower mainland because of bass. It's bad because of trout fisherman. Everybody keeps fish in that community and can't figure out where they are all going. It's easier to blame another species then look in the mirror. Put the biggest and smallest ones back always. If the fishery is slowing, put everything back till it catches back up.
@@christopherpatton6066 do you mean they imported bass in the 20's?
D1 Gatekeepers in the comments 💀
Good or bad?😂
One last cast hehe, that means about 4.5 more casts on average
Lol, definitely!
Sad the bucket brigade is ruining many lakes. There should be no bag limit on bass.
@@reel-canadian2700 it really sucks but they are endemic to BC now.
Someone else commented that the government got them in BC some 100years back.
Have you tried cultus lake in chilliwack for bass ?
I haven't, heard it has a well established Small mouth bass population. Did you ever try it?
@@crankbaiter_fishing No I didn’t try , but there is not much in the way of structure or cover in that lake, so I would not know where to start. Mill lake in Abbotsford is a good lake for bass fishing.
@@flyinphil42 it's a bit late for bass fishing. But during summer you can cast anywhere near the shore. Small mouths like rocky and sandy bottoms for spawning and are in the shallows during summer. I personally haven't fished a small mouth ever but that's what I have learned from the internet
@@crankbaiter_fishing Maybe over by the public dock then in cultus lake might be good, it’s fairly shallow there near the swimming buoys .
Easy to catch them over there from April to October, but. You will need a kayak or a boat as they are usually deep ..I have caught pretty good ones there.
have you ever caught a perch here? also what lure for bass
I wasn't targeting perch in this outing, I will do it when I go next.
The biggest one from this outing was on the top water from Booyah in green color.
Spinner bait produced some decent ones and then I sight fished with stick bait from Daiso.
I also use BFS (bait finesse gear) which is just basically ultralight fishing and downsizing lures that help you get more fish. I use a 3 inch stick bait as opposed to a 5 or 6inch one. Similarly I use a 1/8oz spinner bait as opposed to the traditional 1/2oz ones.
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate you stopping and commenting on the videos .
where is that lake
Mission
What what lake
I don't like to be a gatekeeper for these spots but I don't like to give it out publicly on social media. Hit me up on insta and I can share it. Some people just start exploiting these spots and harvest every big to small fish to a point there is no fish remaining. Hope you understand!
@@crankbaiter_fishing what is your instagram?
Phenominal edit: I read it as "what a lake"
@@alanmcdonald-zi1un it's crankbaiter
thanks!
