Unfortunately this happened to my uncle when he was a child, who passed away in his 50s last year. He ate lead paint off of the walls. He suffered from seizures his whole life and never had a normal life due to being a little slower than others. I hope this never happens to another child.
I feel terrible for the grandma, imagine how she feels knowing that she caused her grandson permanent damage.

I had pretty serious lead poisoning as a baby from lead paint chips in the windowsills of our house! It’s tough to know exactly how it affected my growth and development and affects me today. I have ADHD that my parents refused to acknowledge when I was younger which is probably because of the lead poisoning, and some other complications that we just can’t be sure about. Lead poisoning is very serious! Thank you for spreading awareness
