He always does that, sings the female key when he has to, he very rarely changes it.
You should watch him covering "Fate" with Lee Sun Hee. He sang the WHOLE song using the original female key. Lee Sun Hee told him to just use his normal singing voice because it's too hard, but he refused wanting to challenge himself and my god did he delivered flawlessly

I couldn’t get over the fact that anyone could have a pitch-perfect, melodious, sensuous and alluring voice with tenderness and explosive power. The resonance and vibrato in his voice is top notch! His voice is on the highest tier! The “icing on the cake is his gorgeous visuals! Then I also found out that he is a member of the legendary, Super Junior!
I’ve recently become a fan, but I can honestly say that I’m a fan for life of Kyuhyun and Super Junior!
