I’m from PA and NJ grew up in both states. I live west coast now but I’m saving my money to move back east. I miss it. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but I’m ready for the trees, 4 seasons and ocean again
You can see lots of trees and lots of ocean in the west coast. I don’t know what part of the west coast you live, but northern CA. Oregon and Washington state have lots of forest areas and trees. All 3 states border the ocean. Even CA has lots of trees, especially if you live in the northern area, or anywhere in the northern or southern mountains. And yes, you can even have snow even in So Cal - just go to the mountains during the winter. You can also experience the four seasons, especially in the Mammoth Lakes area in the Sierra Nevada where the trees turn golden and beautiful colors in the fall and you’ll have plenty of snow for skiing during the winter.

I’m just working all the time 😣 it’s fun being in a new state, new cultures, new friends, but it’s also tough being away from home and what you know. Even in AZ you can experience the four seasons if you go to the northern part like Sedona, Flagstaff, Williams, Jerome, and the Grand Canyon area. Flagstaff definitely has the four seasons and plenty of snow for skiing! Even Sedona in the fall gets beautiful colors that look stunning amongst the red rocks. They get a dusting of snow, but it usually doesn’t last, but it does get very cold in the winter! Prescott also gets snow as well as very very cold and windy in the late fall. Drive by the Coconino National Forest through Flagstaff to see all the pines. Maybe you can use one of your weekends, or the long Memorial weekend coming up, to drive to the northern part of AZ and explore all its beautiful scenery. I just returned from visiting Sedona last week and went hiking through Oak Creek and some desert areas. Even the desert is now blooming with red ocotillo flowers, yellow palo verde flowers, prickly pear cactus flowers, hedgehog cactus flowers, desert marigolds and wild daisies. Hope you can get to visit some of these not so far places from you, before you move back.👍🏻🙂
