Also take the clip off the other end of rod instead of un bolting bracket off the frame much easier then just unthread the rod!

the green plastic gear breaks inside trying to locate just the gear slowy break the nut off the rod as the threads are pinched on the end if can locate the gear thats all that breaks it splits in center if can bond it would work fine!

To much pressure on those gears, they should have made them metal, being a luxury car , they wanted the mechanism quite.
