    Take the bearded Thor's head and place the 80-year-old Thor, you will have perfect Thor!

      that is what i did, but the colors are not matching. However I did the head swap with the Herald of Galactus Thor and the Eric Thor head, it firs perfect with the modern look

    When 80th Thor came out Legends were $20. He was more expensive at $25. He was re-released as a Target exclusive with another different head sculpt and hand sculpt as Ragnarok Thor from Marvel’s Civil War storyline. It also included the spinning Mjolnir as an accessory. Because Ragnarok was a robotic “ clone “ the non-robotic face sculpt had glowing red eyes. That Target version was $32.

    I was not a big Thor fan when I was reading comics, but I loved it when Eric Masterson took over. I found him to be relatable. Full of self-doubt but striving to live up to idea of Thor. So, for me the tie goes to the Eric Masterson version.

    I hope the head sculpt with the visor means we will get a battle armor Thor and a comic accurate Beta-Ray Bill.

      I've been hoping for a classic Beta Ray Bill for a while. I actually made a custom. I kitbashed a Toy Biz Beta Ray, Hasbro Beta Ray and an 80th anniversary Thor. I think it came out well for a stand in.

      I was able to pick up the Destroyer 2 Pack for $30… since I have the 80th anniversary Thor already I wasn't planning on picking up the 2 Pack..but I couldn't pass it up at that price
      Btw the Destroyer 2 Pack Thor is NOT Eric Masterson.. it's the original Thor from the late 1980s Walter Simonson run that took place mostly on Asgard...Thor had been CURSED & it caused his bones to become brittle..so he was forced to add more & more armor to his costume as the story went on..& eventually he had to put the Destroyer armor on.
      Anyways keep up the good work brother
      Looking forward to your next video 👑

    In an unbelievable twist of fate, I was in the toy aisle at Target and spotted the Thor & Destroyer 2-pack peeking from behind some other toy boxes. It had been sometime since it had come out and clearly someone had hid it there to get later, but never did? Bottom line: it rang up for me at the register for CLEARANCE $16.99!

      That's an amazing price!

      Wow I got it for a good price as well
      $30..but I guess it pays to look in hidden areas 👊

    I already had the 80th anniversary Thor so i wasn't planning on picking up the Destroyer 2 Pack..but i saw it on eBay for $30 & free shipping so i couldn't pass it up
    Btw i believe that the Destroyer 2 Pack Thor is actually the Thor from the late 1980s Walter Simonson run which mostly took place on Asgard..Thor had gotten cursed & it caused his bones to become brittle..so he had to start wearing more & more armor.&
    eventually putting on the Destroyer armor
    Anyways keep up the good work 👑

    The bearded two pack without the visor head is based on Walter Simonson 🔨

      A friend of mine pointed that out after I recorded the video. It really is a great head sculpt!

    Very good and detailed review and comparison. Really love this kind of comparison which helps us make a decision. I'm currently in the middle of struggling on deciding if to buy one of the Thor in your video while I have already got the comic Thor from Mafex

      I haven't taken a look at any of the Mafex figures. I'd be curious to see what you end up getting. Thanks for watching!

    Waiting for a pinless version

    • @RockNerdRadio
      @RockNerdRadio  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I'm hoping for an official Beta Ray Bill. I made a custom on this body, but a pinless version would be nice, especially if they use it over and over again.

  • @craighill2290
    @craighill2290 Před 9 měsíci

    It tie cause it's the same body with differents being paint head and boots. Do you like Thor or Eric ( Thor) like in the comics. That why I turned it down plus I got Thunder Strike you piant the glove on the left hand you got him.

    All the Marvel Legends Thors have a choad Mjolnir. The handle is too short, and the head of the hammer is not the same shape as the classic comic book hammer. Dunno why the 80th Thor, a classic Thor, came with this more modern Mjolnir???

    I believe that the 80th Captain America was a Walmart exclusive although that doesn't make sense because he wasn't impossible to find.

    • @RockNerdRadio
      @RockNerdRadio  Před 11 měsíci +1

      You're right, he definitely was a Walmart exclusive. I never found one in person, but a friend of mine found one for me.
