It also works with my EVO as well as One X and One R. BTW, the dolly zoom effect was made famous by Hitchock in Vertigo more than a decade before Jaws.
Wow Ben just crawled out of the dark ages with my 2 year old Garmin Virb 360 , which has survived really well and done it's job , just got the Insta360 X2 which is pretty amazing. I'm just throwing out props to you for some of the best tutorial videos I've come across. So easy to listen to and just functional information, easy peasy instructions for amazing effects. Thanks so much for your time and effort......

@@BenClaremont If you have an expensive phone. I have a Budget one and I can do almost nothing with the APP. Just use the settings. First of all I have to put the phone in Airplane mode to connect it to the camera if I am at home where there is an internet connection. Then when the camera is connected I cannot see all the "stories" cause the App cannot get the Internet at the same time it's connected with the phone. They should improve a lot the app.

At 12:39 you started holding the camera with lenses oriented vertically, but then repositioned the camera to lenses horizontal (facing down and up). Why was that? Stitch line? 1) What is best tips for orienting the stitch line? 2) Does the One R do any exposure compensation to minimize different exposures between the two lenses?

Then you start up the One R app and import the footage from your One X or use it to take pictures or record videos. Caution: the One R app seems to be more power hungry than the One X app, so the work flow will be slower!
@@pascaleidt7664 I used my Android phone (OnePlus 6) and it worked. Be aware that you need to either import your video files through your camera into the app, or copy your 360 files into the right folder in your phone. Otherwise it won't work

Auto time shift - Do you think it is tracking your head? It looks like it was trying to focus on where your head was aiming. Interesting if you test that.
@10:18: I actually thought the Auto-Timeshift did an EXCELLENT job, and would increase your rating from 5/10 to at least 9/10. As someone who wasn't actually there and didn't physically walk that path, I reckon the Auto-Timeshift gave me an interesting perspective .
Clone trail and freeze frame are super cool. I really.like Dolly Zoom and time flip, but cant seem to get the shot right to make it look good. On time flip I get myself in the stitch line alot. I did just get my camera a few days ago though! Lol

Nice vid. Informative as always. Out of interest do you do your editing via WiFi connection with the camera or do you do it tethered with a cable from phone to camera? Would be interesting to do a speed comparison i.e. is the rendering bottleneck the video data transfer or is it the processing horsepower of the phone.

You can also just add one key frame at the end and rotate 360 degrees to get the barrel roll. No need for middle keyframe
