I can't believe how fast Billy blew up from the Trailer video with the unlit cigarette guy to this. The world of live music found a diamond and boy does it shine!
Are you kidding me? Three of the coolest things in the world (Led Zepplin, Lord of the Rings and Billy Strings} in a single video. Ask your friends if they'd like to see Billy Strings dressed as Frodo playing Ramble On. Once they stop laughing, show them this.
Led Zeppelin 2 is and will remain one of the absolute greatest albums of all time. Every song is amazing and sounds different. Every instrument is amazing and is important.
People are shocked to find out all the songs were written by black men from Chicago, not LED Zepplin themselves, I think they used to be with Cadillac Records, LED Zepplins writers
Well....if you ever wondered what Led Zeppelin would sound like if Dwayne Allman was the guitarist... Then wonder no more.... God Almighty it's a pleasure to be alive to watch Billy's Ride
Billy is the only one that I can listen to in the year of our lord 2022...and I seen led zeppelin in 1977.....unbelievable nobody and I mean nobody can hold a candle to him.....maybe trucks....the music come from his heart ❤️
This is the third song from this concert I’ve jammed with my “good headphones” on and all I can say is I’m blessed to be alive at the same time as this wizard and his band...freakish guitar player, with a voice that stretches generations! F yeah Billy Stings grab the music world by the huevos and keep running kid. 💪🏻 😎 🤘🏻
Billy, you're the man. Fantastic - I love LOTR, and with this 3 days you have done it justice. You should totally publish a live album around this show. I'd buy it.
@@mississippijohnfahey7175 I didn't know that. Seeing him play with Tommy Emmanuelle was amazing. I mistakenly assumed he was mainly country but now I know, thanks.
Nice footage. Looks like a super fun concert to be at. It's nice to see Billy flexing his electric chops. But hey also how about that band he has, they are all top notch.
His voice is so damned perfect and powerful for this song. I actually got chills watching this, which doesn't happen much to me, ever. I'd love to hear more Zep covers from him. Searching...
I love Led Zeppelin and Billy Strings. I was in a little music store the other day and this kid walked in and started playing a mandolin and I was playing a 12 string…this dude is going going d furrrr..
I was wondering when they would cover this song.....great performance. Thanks for the upload. If there's one thing they shoulda done during this performance is they shoulda had Gollum sneak up behind the amps and take away the flutist back behind the stage during the lyric "Gollum and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her....". That would've been pretty solid.
People don't realize now what an incredible music legend Billy will be in 5 years. SRV, Hendrix, Clapton, Garcia, Page, Santana, Duane, Rossington, and William Apostol.
well.... for people who know.....the music biz was totally different when those guys you mentioned were around to begin their careers. Today...people like Lizzo get all the media attention. It's really not about if you're a musical prodigy or not. In another 5 years Billy will pretty much have the same audience....he's 30 years old....all the people you mentioned were stars by their early 20s because that's how the biz was if you had musical talent. Today if you're in your 30s you're most likely a niche` act.
@@SunnyHippies I think he's talking about notoriety for his musicianship... not this cover song. He'll never have a pop chart hit.. unless he teams up with Harry Styles 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can't find a word for this other than epic!! This is the first time I've heard Billy sing, and he did great from what I could hear from the cell phone video.
You couldn't have done justice to this iconic song any better than you have already done! "Ramble On" is arguably, the best of all Led Zeppelin's songs.
Right you are... the best one, but strangely enough, they never played it live in the old days... while they did Boy next door and BYA Stomp in live sets... go figure
@@bmelvin1234 I think bits of both. The solo was very "Blue Sky" inspired. Written by Dickey, with Duane solo first, then both, then Dickey, according to what I read.
@@flyoverbassin8959 thank you for the follow up! You are correct, I just confirmed it and it was both of them. It was probably my favorite guitar riff by then, except Rambling Man. 👍

😂YES!
Well, you have to give Robert Plant some credit for being a fan of Tolkien, and writing those lyrics.
You meant “Lord of the Strings”, didn’t you? 😉
Have you seen the War Pigs video from the same night?
❤
Perhaps the most Zeppelin song of all Zeppelin songs. Bilbo Baggins gives two thumbs up.
Just when I think that Billy cannot get any more amazing ...
Lord of the Strings
It`s absolutely amazing how far Led Zeppelins influence reaches.

Billy going through his Jimmy Paige/Plant phase brings me great joy.
So satisfying to see young kids appreciate and play/own great classic rock.
Diggin on those Blue Sky licks in his solos!
100% thought the same thing. Dickie licks all over this.
Yes!!
Great to see him playing electric. He's a Swiss Army Knife of guitar! Amazing!
Well....if you ever wondered what Led Zeppelin would sound like if Dwayne Allman was the guitarist... Then wonder no more.... God Almighty it's a pleasure to be alive to watch Billy's Ride
Dickey betts but absolutely
Billie Strings was playing Hard Rock and Metal when he was younger, shouldn't surprise his fans.
Wait what! My ultimate song by the #1 band of All time & in Asheville NC & on the 31st of October....how did I miss this show 🧡🖤

Speechless. Frickin’ speechless.
Ladies and gentlemen, Billy STRINGS!
All I remember was wondering when the best time to light my joint at the show, as soon as I heard the opening riffs it was on. They fucking rocked it
What a fun concert that must have been! Peace ✌️
He plays three nights in Asheville every Halloween, different theme each year. It's quite an event. I was there last year for the Wizard of Oz.
Throws solo from "Blue Sky" into the middle. Very nice!
My fav Zeppelin song of all time so my my dog is named "Ramble".
"Throws solo from "Blue Sky" into the middle" - I caught that, actually thought they were going to morph into Allman Bros. song
They got the vibe just SOO right.... and I dont know nothing about this band 🤩
Nothing better then Led Zeppelin.
Agreed!!!
We are watching a legend in the making
It's astounding

Sir William Strings, hats off.
Wow you can feel the energy from this performance!
Sweet!!!!! Sounds phenomenal!!!!! Love that he's shredding it on a Les Paul like Jimmy does!!!
He picked up that guitar from Norman's Rare Guitars in CA on his way to Hawaii to play with Billy and the Kids. Those are some great videos.
We were like fourth row
Insane!!
I've only known Billy to be a phenomenal country picker, but he's obviously a great all round guitarist as well. Surprise, surprise, surprise!
He comes from a metal background, so this is right within his wheelhouse

I bought led Zeppelin 2 my first album all those years ago and it still sounds marvellous. Great to see this version of Ramble On.
First cd I bought with my own money.
Its amazing to see how far he's come in a few short years...
Hard to believe thats the same little doofus on a couch playing Dust in a Baggie
That wizard outfit is tops! Some of the guitar solo has an allman bros sound. Thanks for posting!
British bands are the best! Zeppelin rules!
