GIANT CAT Stalks a Thrift Store Painting! 😹

- Ok, confession time: I cannot pass a yard sale or thrift store without stopping. I love the adventure of digging through cast-off items in search of little treasures, especially anything that has a CAT on it! When I came across an original landscape painting covered with dust and a $5 dollar price tag, I knew I couldn't leave it behind. With palm trees and an arched Spanish-style ruin, the painting made me think of the old forts in St. Augustine, Florida. The painting was nice...but it was a little...boring? And what is the LEAST boring thing in the world? If you said "a cat" you were thinking what I was thinking!
I got to work creating a fantasy landscape featuring a giant white cat, modeled after our own cat, Snowy Flake Marie. And after a few days at the easel, I think the painting fits in on our walls much better after its feline transformation!

Hi Caroline, Wow! How good of an artist are you? I spent a while thinking about the Siamese Cat Painting and I remembered that you live on some really quaint property, with a lake or pond out in the back, and your house might like nice from certain angles, so, well, why not totally blank out everything in the Painting but the Cat with some foundation coat, and then paint a view of your own property as the background. If you use the Pond, well, then you get to practice doing Water Reflections. Oh, the Eyes of the Siamese aren't blue enough. Really, the best thing about a Siamese is their REALLY blue eyes.

@@KittenSchool Oh, so a Siamese Cat's eyes are SAPHIRE Blue. Yeah, I only know the "guy colors"... I made a joke of that on my other Channel where I keep my Nom De Plume stuff, "Leo Volont" where I do counter-intuitive Spiritual Stuff... along with some political stuff BUT the Spiritual Stuff is more given to a kind of Free Form Poetry... Story Telling in a Poetic Narrative.. Recently I did one making a Joke about Guy Colors... "The White Light Paramahamsa Swan Dream". It's counter-intuitive Spirituality but contains a Love Story that runs through, but nobody in particular... "Leo" is just in Love with the Feminine Archetype.... I read your Blog from years ago... in several Parts... about Losing and Finding Sing Sing. SO, you're a writer too. You might find it interesting.

Absolutely LOVE it!!! I would totally buy that painting!! As for the Siamese and the butterfly, why not make the butterfly a traffic report helicopter in which the pilot looks totally shocked that they've come upon a gargantuan KITTY staring at them??

I think the painting you added Snowy to is of the Tarragona tower in Daytona Beach , Florida . It looks exactly like it . The kitty is a vast improvement .
