Oh they look lovely Laura, Im not keen on bbq so could you advise what an alternative could be please. Thought about chinese 5 spice? xx

I think these would actually work without the BBQ powder - I wonder if 5 spice would work? Maybe split your batch in to four, try different spices in each batch and see which one you like the best? xx
