- Welcome back! its been a 2 year journey since I took the body off the frame. In this video I set it back on the new revamped frame and get the convertible top rack working in preparation for the top install!! Thanks for watching!

Car looks good on the frame, now you can add more parts to get them out of the way and not have any damage from them setting around.
Drum brakes are fine if you know what you are doing.
For Drag racing one of my Buddies Dad had a Brake Shop.
We would bring him the drums and shoes, he would put primary material on all the shoes.
After the drums were ground he would measure them and set the shoes in a fixture where you could set the drum ID
The fixture had a cutter the would cut the brake material to the ID of the drum so you would get 100% contact of the brake shoe to the drum.
The brakes worked great at our local 1/8 mile track with a short shut down.
Crazy to see top Fuel or Funny Cars trying to stop and we raced on Saturday night.
Tell Bobby we would call the chrome on the latches "Polish Chrome"

Yeah....but top can be masked...it's also vynil not canvas..

What trans you have? Do you know if there’s an issue with trans clearance on a 62? Looking at either 4l60 or 4l80.
4L6p clears. Don't know about 80

Dont put the top on untill side windows are in..and adjust conv top with rubber in..
Yeah that would be best. I didn't remove the rack at all. So it shouldn't need much adjustments, hopefully
@@lonestarlows it took me so long to adjust mine..i removed rack, powdercoated, them my windshield post was bent.. so u can imagine the stress..lol.. mabey at least put quarter glass in with rubber to see how it latches.. Also my buddy chito puts on convertible tops..he travels to you..he is real good installer and he covers seats..he worked for ciadella
