In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens czcams.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Hi... Do the magnetometer in Point-1 GPS device will be helpful for the data recoding while the boat stop or nearly to stop? I have a problem with the 3d data was turned around on my HDS live screen.
Can you mark fish accurately with 3D sonar?
Jason i like the 2d SS Ds and 3D.but when i go to record to play back, the mechanism to do this is not straight forward.
Do i go into simulator mode first, or do i just click on settings/sonar logs?
and the play back controls are confusing, do i hit player forward?
and what i am seeing is yellow tinted.

let me know where to learn how todo this.

Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod czcams.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
Can I use any hds 5 with my lss1 box?
Also what units can I use with the lss1 transducer 5? 7? 9? 10?
Is it possible to do hydrographic surveys in shallow waters with this?
That 3D sonar is neat. It looks like a rendering of an underwater area in a video game. Curious if you can capture the data from this and feed it to some 3d rendering program used to make games. Then you could drive the boat back and forth and build a 3D world.
Also being able to feed this data into some crowd sourced depth or just misc science uses would be REALLY neat.
That and/or put it on a cheap DIY ROV…
@@ericlotze7724 I'm thinking of the underwater areas in gta San Andreas or gta v how open and detailed they were. It would be awesome if you could drive the boat all over the lake and then take all of that data and assemble it into a digital world and then play it like you are swimming around like in GTA 5.

Hi, have a question I do not seem to be able to get an answer to anywhere. Noticed that I get 2 different depths when I run 83khz and 200khz and also medium chirp and high chirp! I see, for example, that the bottom is 5 m, but on the plotter it shows about 6 m? If I change from 83 to 200 khz, the plotter can also show 5m. So if I look at 2d and see that the bottom is eg 5 m but on the actual data layer on the display it shows eg 6.5 m? Seems like it shows type 2a reading as when it is hard bottom, and reads it instead. And then it will be completely wrong when you map up maps. Do you have any idea why this is so. Have talked to some friends who also have Lowrance because I thought there was something wrong with my sensor (Ai 3-1) But they had the same problem. Seems like it shows the right depth on data storage as long as you use 200 khz, Regards // Mattias
The major downfall with this system is the inability to playback the 3D scan like you can the down or side scans. Why is this not an option?

Okay, I have a HDS9 with a 3n1 transducer and when I access the 3D screen it's blank. Do I need the 3D module and transducer? I've had people tell me I don't need anything else. The S3D 62.1.91 does not show up on the top of my screen. Something more to turn on? There's not enough details on this video.
I believe you need the structure scan 3D transducer in order to see the 3D scanning screen like in the vid
What frequency's does the 3d structure have. I have 3d but I dont have option to change frequency's. Not sure which its reading. I feel like it's on 800

When do you plan to release SS3Dv2 so you can utilize all the processing capacity of Live units? With all the respect, SS3D is outdated Gen3 thing, Live units deserve smth better, especially if you loosing grip vs competition with Humm Mega/Garmin LiveScope....

I'm using the HDS Live 9 and confused on the 3D Structure scan. Does it work with my 3 in 1 Transducer or do I needs a separate 3 in 1 transducer and module ?

im buy 3 in 1 and structure scan , the trasducer is diferent .
I still don't know if I can install both. what i know is you need to buy it separately
The 3D on the live, carbon, and Gen 3 Lowrance units requires the SS3D Structure Scan module and transducer. Neither total scan nor the new AI tranducer have the capability to do 3D.
Can you use structurescan 3d sensor standalone with a lowrance unit or you have to have also a normal sensor on for the depth reading? Because if i dont have the normal sensor sonar on the unit It is not able to track the bottom!!??
2d sonar is recommended. Structurescan does not provide normal depth and normal depth ( DPT ) is used for controlling auto settings on structure.
Is this also the 3d side scan sonar system?

Should be entitled “Problems you will experience with Lowrance” scan up to 600’either side of the boat but really doesn’t work that well so I usually use 120’. Oh, and if you don’t have the transducers at the same level you may see this double line.
I would have thought the depth offset feature could be used on one transducer to bring the double bottom traces in line with each other.
With all these data, collected by 3d scan, wish there is a way i can deposit it to a public mapping so we all know before going to a particular spot

There are no separate files to download. 3D however should be in the unit.

Go with raymarine if you want 3d structure scan.
How much does that system cost?
Will this Transducer work with my Simrad Go9 and Sonar Hub ?
It is not compatible with the GO series. Bear in mind, also with compatible units as the NSS or HDS series you will need a 3D module for it to work.
