Mayonde is a Kenyan recording Artist and songwriter. She started out as a back up singer for other established artists and is now commanding the stage as a solo artist. She has released incredible songs such as Isukuti Love, Nairobi and Rise among many others. In this interview, she shares her passion and love for music and the inspiration behind it. Also been half Rwandese, Mayonde talks to us about how she identifies with this part of her heritage and the beauty of connecting to its culture and roots. She is also married to another successful artist Mbithi Masya (a member of Just a Band music group), she gives us a little insight on their marriage and what plans they have to expand it in the future.
