The undead attacked people in the streets, and spread like wildfire. Her husband was one of them, down there. She was still in her red dress she wore for her date, but that doesn’t matter anymore, does it? The door is boarded up and the beating on the door is deafening. But, the noise muffles as she spots him. Her husband, down in the streets, reviving into one of them. It looks straight up at her. She downs her glass of bourbon, slides into a corner, and sobs as reality comes back to her.

POV: You sip your whiskey on the rooftop. Your family is dead, and you're pretty sure you're next. There isn't a question to it, the world is ending. You chuckle at that. They predicted so many different endings, but this wasn't one of them. You thought that it wouldn't be a problem for you when it happened, that it would be long after you were dead. A dark look comes across your face. You turn your head to the sky and press the button to raise the volume to your old mp3 player to drown out the sounds of the screaming damned. You lay back, watching it unfold. You watch the sky shatter and fall. You watch meteors fall down around your sleepy old town. It was strangely beautiful. The lights, glowing blue and purple, radiating off of the encroaching planet. As the planet recently name Antheas crashes into the less beautiful Earth, you wonder if its world is ending, too. You don't know which planet will survive longer. Will yours somehow beat the odds? It's almost like a battle between two titans for dominance. The blue and purple, hazy, ethereal planet of Antheas, or the bloodthirst and domineering Earth, who will win? You were always a pessimist, thinking that humans didn't deserve to live because of all the suffering they've caused. "But do all of us deserve the fate of termination?" You wonder aloud. Well, it doesn't matter anyway. You only have a few hours to live, at most. You might as well grab that neighbor boy you've always fancied and perhaps spend your last hours on the rooftop together, looking at the stars and coming doom. You might as well end your world in the arms of another, under the gaze of lethal beauty, the cruelest of all sorts. You should hate it, but you don't. You wonder what would have happened if you had lived on that planet. Would you live a happier life? The planet is close enough that they have sent cameras to the surface and have a live feed. The sky is a purplish blue, with neon plants of all sorts. So many glowing life forms. Your eyes fill with tears as you are overwhelmed with the beauty of it. "It is like the planet Pandora, from the movie Avatar, but somehow better," you whisper in reverence. You get up and go in your window so you can finally fetch your neighbor. He comes willingly, and you close the door to your fate and your room.
POV: you're on the other side of the planet, in a Discord call with all your friends. as Antheas hit you and your friends turn on face cam and say a final goodbye to each other. you haven't ever meet those people in person, but yet in this moment you feel like its your family. as you were enjoying the moment some of the face cam starts going out and soon its also your turn.
In a faint voice, "no! It's not over yet! Come I have a society on the other side. Remember Atheous or whatever's a dwarf planet we have time I have a swift underground train. Come, its not too late you two!" You look over in disbelief but come anyway, and get in the bunker. You can hear the train cart rattling and feel something you have not felt since the disaster of 2059, hope.
The town gathered together this last, final night. A cookout, they wanted. A lovely low-country boil. Shrimp seasoned to perfection, potatoes boiled, winnies chopped, and sweet buttery corn. It was a small quaint place. You were raised by more than just your parents, but your friends too. You’ve had just a few lovers, none too memorable but you see them as brothers now. A current lover, a best friend, you could have seen yourself perhaps fall into a marriage with after pursuing college. They all speak to each other with a melancholy smiles. Some try too hard to accept this fate. Others mope by the fire. The sun is setting. A firey storm of streaks crossing the sky in slow motion. If only you hadn’t lived in poverty… you would be joining that streak, those rich uptighters, to continue life on another planet. But the thing about poverty.. you learn what *enough* is. You’re calmly sighing to yourself. Smiling. Your life was tough, but seeing what all you’ve overcome and the bonds you’ve made,, it wasn’t so bad. You wouldn’t mind living for another day.

A tiny smile fades onto your face as you put it down humming to the music looking for food and weapons, as the last song come on you frown in disappointment. *CRACK* You hear from the window, your eyes shoot open and you stare at the window as it breaks, and breaks, and breaks.. Eventually it fully breaks and the zombies come limping in, you feel a tear roll down your cheek as you scream for help even though you know no one will come. your eyes close as they rip your limbs off, one by one...
2068 you are walking through the remnant of what used to be an super market to see whats left. You find a generator you turn it on and surprisingly it works. The mall springs to life like it used to, the lights turn on, the musics start... you hear those old tunes... you sit down knowing it is hopeless to keep going... "the nuclear bombs exploded so long ago..."- you thought to your self "everyone who's left either took there own life or went with the last star ship to Mars" "I missed the flight..."- you reminded yourself "whats the point... I've been looking for someone else for years!"- you said trying not to cry you gave in and started crying for hours listening to the last songs that will ever be played on earth. "No! I wont give up"- you said trying to trier your self up, but its no use you decided that you cant keep going anymore... the old earth is gone... you grab your knife... *slice* as you are bleeding out slowly, you know you have some time left so you picked a comfortable spot in the mall and sits down... listening to the slow song that is playing, looking out the window at the wasteland, the overgrown skyscraper... drifting into sleep knowing you wont wake up... Why, out of all things, did The End Of The World by Sharon Van Etten have to play on his death bed? Ironically, this definitely suited the situation. First he had been prancing around the abandoned mall he made his space, playing his playlist softly on the dusty speakers for all to hear. And now he was here, on the floor, clutching the wound on his side as the music played. Maybe he should've not blasted his depressing tunes in an apocalypse. Yeah yeah he should've done that. ''Finley?'' He should've done something different. What a fool he was. ''Finley are you there?'' Ah yes. He remembered. Through all this agonizing pain, through the warm crimson that spread across the floor, and stupid _ironic_ sound track playing in the background, his phone was resting by his side. His father was there. ''I'm here,'' Why did that take so much effort to say? ''We're nearly there Finley don't move, okay?'' How did his father sound so calm at a time like this? He was dying, maybe who knows he might just die right now. Hadn't he argued with him just days ago, storming off in a fit of rage? But his father's voice was a comforting tune in the melody of music. ''I'm sorry for being stupid,'' The boy managed to muster out, eyes fixed on the red that spread like a spider's web across his white shirt,''I'm sorry I was being a dumbass. I'm sorry I've always been-'' ''No no Finny!'' There was the name,''It's okay just... Just talk to me okay?'' Finley swore he could hear the hum of the car in the background. Somehow it took him back to those midnight drives, where he and his brothers stuffed themselves on Mc Donalds. Where they played 80's tunes on the radio. The music seemed to filled his mind, their laughter a familiar echo. ''Finley are you-'' ''How... How was your day dad?'' There was a pause. ''That's good,'' Finley's hitched breath came out in a long sigh. His chest felt lighter all of a sudden,''Do you-'' He coughed,''Do you want to get some fast food after this?'' A warm laugh filled the cold mall as his father chuckled,''Maybe. If you promise to not do this again.'' ''I'll try-'' There was a stab in his chest, that withered his voice to a soft whisper,''- I'll try not to.'' Oh great. Now As The World Caves In was playing. What's next, The Walking Dead soundtrack? But honestly Finley couldn't care. The sound of the car, the voice of his dad, the music... It was nice. How was death calming? Shouldn't it be terrifying? Huh, guess it wasn't. So, in the calm. Finley shut his eyes, drifting back to the familiar front seat in the car. Where he placed all sorts of stuff in the glovebox, like his vhs tapes and photos, while the window was rolled down. He could almost feel the fresh breeze. It was comforting. The music echoed in the distance. His family's laughter never sounded clearer.
Just a little drabble inspired by this playlist! Hope you enjoy! I swayed softly to the music softly pouring from the gramophone in the abandoned antique store. The collection of records sat dusty and untouched in the rack beside the shelves of record players and radios. I cranked up the gramophone for another song, finding comfort in the crackling sound. With a heavy sigh, I leaned against the wall and slid down to the floor. Alone in the crumbling antique store I used to visit with my family, the silence I had been stuck in for the months I had been alone was broken. I hummed along to the familiar tune, the light of the morning sun streaming through a hole in the short ceiling. The outside world had begun to creep inside. Water damage and moss were starting to pull up the wood boards of the floor, reclaiming what had been taken. The comfort of nature was now a heavy reminder of what had been lost. The morning I had woken up to find myself alone still gnawed at my mind. Where had they all gone? The panic I felt as I scrambled through my house, pleading for someone to respond to my cries lingered, my wails still audible in my mind. Nothing sat in these buildings but ghosts of what once was. Echos of laughter trickling from old photographs and footsteps barely heard on wooden floors. Nothing remained but what was left behind. The people in photos didn't look real anymore. They looked bizarre. An uncanny valley effect starting to take over my mind as I began to forget what I looked like. I stood back up, the end of the song coming on quickly. I rustled through the old records to begin a new album to begin reminiscing again. As I was about to crank up the gramophone to play a vinyl of an old band my dad used to listen to, I heard it. Soft, at the door of the antique shop, almost getting lost on the wind, a voice. "Hello?"
As you look around the rubble and construction that you used to call home, you smile and look into the sky, silent tears of acceptance and knowing flow down your cheeks. "This is it", you say aloud, "This is how our story ends." As the sky starts to turn dark you close your eyes the light breeze of wind flows around you and you let out one last breath before succumbing to death's sweet embrace. You didn't die a hero, nor did you die a villain in this story. You died being you, and being you was the greatest you could do. I tried to write a good POV, the playlist was really good btw!

My favorites are; every selection, as I felt them and could envision the tragic, painful and very messy end. The song Apocalypse has to be a favorite, with lyrics " your lips, my lips, Apocalypse", so very clever! This whole piece is beautiful, with photographs that look like 8 mm old film, due to degradation those white spots. A great attention to detail, to produce the desired effect, to put someone's mind into your thoughts and creative landscape. Evocative! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ U2
The first three songs make you feel you're in a movie at the moment... 2022, who could imagine that we would have a war, a pandemic and the biggest economical crisis in hundreds of years. Sometimes I wonder if the end is near, but I'm not even anxious or anything. The idea of the end isn't as frightening as I thought it would be when everything was okay.
The sky was covered in a blanket of grey as dust settled along the horizon and the sounds of bombs exploding sounded in the distance. "So this is the end?" "Yes, I suppose it is." I leaned on the side of the window, looking out upon all the people, running, and trying to escape. "Are you afraid?" "Why would I be afraid?" I looked her in the eyes as she stared at me with a questioning gaze. "Why wouldn't you be afraid?" "Fear won't get rid of this mess. I'd rather have happiness as my last thought, not fear." "I guess that's understandable." We lapsed into silence as the sound of gunshots grew closer. "Do you think it was our fault?" "About what?" "Causing the end of the world. We started all of this." "The world was destined to end as soon as it began, my dear. We're just the only two who have realized it." She looked at the floor with a blank stare as the ground shook beneath us. Gingerly, I took her hand in mine. "Together?" "For always." And as the roof overhead began to collapse, we let ourselves fall to a calm darkness.

Sitting at the edge of a building at my camp I set up I have working water but it's contaminated. I'm fixing it yet Im not a plumber but I'm trying my best. I have a mutant dog and he's my protection besides my old kar98 my grandpa had with stock piled ammo. Just hope any survivors don't get caught out at night. everyone’s out there living their best lives with their partners as it all collapsed but not me. not that i want that. what bothers me is that i’m still just sat in my bedroom. doing nothing. in theory i had the ability to and yet i did absolute f*ck all. why...? why didn’t i do anything? i hear the crashes and screams and feel nothing. we all die in the end. but why must that include the world itself? if it were just humanity i wouldn’t care but no, everything is going. the only people who have any chance of survival are the rich. you know, the ones that instigated this entire thing. i can smell the fire now, and vaguely hear someone calling out to me. it’s futile. we’ll both go, what’s the point in making the last of it better? it won’t change the entire experience. the smoke fills my nostrils and seems to leak into my brain. my house catches fire and the heat rises. my eyes are watering so i can’t even see. the flames are creeping up towards me and i embrace them with a smile. finally, a monster can be vanquished.

It was years after the apocalypse, when the asteroid hit, when I confessed to my first love. I was the one who survived, and the only one who did, along with a dog I picked from the street where we walked together. Who knows what will happen to me here, where I've lost everything, my home, my planet, my love.

life just is going to fast for me, its not that im overwlmed its just that i live in a town and theres nothing to do but i do enjoy it, i have great grades and stuff but i just want a break. i know ONE way but theres no going back, i just dont ever want to leave and this song just makes me feel like i have all the time in the world.

i don't like thinking of the apocalypse where people are dying by bombs or zombies or anything like that, i just feel it's more tragic and beautiful seeing everyone die at the same time, with a big flash of light in the middle, taking each person at a time, going second by second, while you're in the front seat.

You guys are currently in a building with a big collapsed wall on the four floor, a storm moving forward. It has been hours since the news of an power plant exploding, releasing high chemical gas. And to their luck, a storm was coming. Any living being to breathe it dissolved before they knew it. You and your twin fought, in the end, You wipe their tears before you put on their gas masks. As new ones emerge to their own eyes. You walked backwards for a bit. In your twin's perspective, The storm gets closer as you express your emotions and say words you never would have said if this never happened in the first place. "I never said this to you personally, But I'm glad to be your twin brother." You forced a smile, one that signals the other it's gonna be okay. As tears come down and your smile fades and turns to sobs " ____.... I love you, little bro" They tried to reach you, the motion seeming to be a hug. Time seems to be slow, you began to remember how all this place looked like before this mess. Before your parent's sacrificed themselves. They did not deserve this. before you collided to a hug, It becomes blank. Last thought to hoping they survive, With the person they love.

The undead attacked people in the streets, and spread like wildfire. Her husband was one of them, down there. She was still in her red dress she wore for her date, but that doesn’t matter anymore, does it? The door is boarded up and the beating on the door is deafening. But, the noise muffles as she spots him. Her husband, down in the streets, reviving into one of them. It looks straight up at her. She downs her glass of bourbon, slides into a corner, and sobs as reality comes back to her.

POV:
You sip your whiskey on the rooftop. Your family is dead, and you're pretty sure you're next. There isn't a question to it, the world is ending. You chuckle at that. They predicted so many different endings, but this wasn't one of them. You thought that it wouldn't be a problem for you when it happened, that it would be long after you were dead.
A dark look comes across your face. You turn your head to the sky and press the button to raise the volume to your old mp3 player to drown out the sounds of the screaming damned. You lay back, watching it unfold. You watch the sky shatter and fall. You watch meteors fall down around your sleepy old town.
It was strangely beautiful. The lights, glowing blue and purple, radiating off of the encroaching planet. As the planet recently name Antheas crashes into the less beautiful Earth, you wonder if its world is ending, too. You don't know which planet will survive longer. Will yours somehow beat the odds?
It's almost like a battle between two titans for dominance. The blue and purple, hazy, ethereal planet of Antheas, or the bloodthirst and domineering Earth, who will win? You were always a pessimist, thinking that humans didn't deserve to live because of all the suffering they've caused. "But do all of us deserve the fate of termination?" You wonder aloud.
Well, it doesn't matter anyway. You only have a few hours to live, at most. You might as well grab that neighbor boy you've always fancied and perhaps spend your last hours on the rooftop together, looking at the stars and coming doom. You might as well end your world in the arms of another, under the gaze of lethal beauty, the cruelest of all sorts.
You should hate it, but you don't. You wonder what would have happened if you had lived on that planet. Would you live a happier life? The planet is close enough that they have sent cameras to the surface and have a live feed. The sky is a purplish blue, with neon plants of all sorts. So many glowing life forms. Your eyes fill with tears as you are overwhelmed with the beauty of it. "It is like the planet Pandora, from the movie Avatar, but somehow better," you whisper in reverence.
You get up and go in your window so you can finally fetch your neighbor. He comes willingly, and you close the door to your fate and your room.

Come, its not too late you two!" You look over in disbelief but come anyway, and get in the bunker. You can hear the train cart rattling and feel something you have not felt since the disaster of 2059, hope.
The town gathered together this last, final night. A cookout, they wanted. A lovely low-country boil. Shrimp seasoned to perfection, potatoes boiled, winnies chopped, and sweet buttery corn.
It was a small quaint place. You were raised by more than just your parents, but your friends too. You’ve had just a few lovers, none too memorable but you see them as brothers now. A current lover, a best friend, you could have seen yourself perhaps fall into a marriage with after pursuing college.
They all speak to each other with a melancholy smiles. Some try too hard to accept this fate. Others mope by the fire.
The sun is setting. A firey storm of streaks crossing the sky in slow motion. If only you hadn’t lived in poverty… you would be joining that streak, those rich uptighters, to continue life on another planet. But the thing about poverty.. you learn what *enough* is. You’re calmly sighing to yourself. Smiling. Your life was tough, but seeing what all you’ve overcome and the bonds you’ve made,, it wasn’t so bad.
You wouldn’t mind living for another day.

You walk over to it, taking a glance at the window to make sure the zombies aren't breaking the glass. You then look back down at the radio and turn it on. 'Static, static, and more static..' you think to yourself, about to give up. You then change it to one last station and this music comes on. A tiny smile fades onto your face as you put it down humming to the music looking for food and weapons, as the last song come on you frown in disappointment. *CRACK* You hear from the window, your eyes shoot open and you stare at the window as it breaks, and breaks, and breaks.. Eventually it fully breaks and the zombies come limping in, you feel a tear roll down your cheek as you scream for help even though you know no one will come. your eyes close as they rip your limbs off, one by one...
2068 you are walking through the remnant of what used to be an super market to see whats left. You find a generator you turn it on and surprisingly it works.
The mall springs to life like it used to, the lights turn on, the musics start... you hear those old tunes... you sit down knowing it is hopeless to keep going...

Ironically, this definitely suited the situation. First he had been prancing around the abandoned mall he made his space, playing his playlist softly on the dusty speakers for all to hear. And now he was here, on the floor, clutching the wound on his side as the music played. Maybe he should've not blasted his depressing tunes in an apocalypse. Yeah yeah he should've done that.

He should've done something different. What a fool he was.

Ah yes. He remembered. Through all this agonizing pain, through the warm crimson that spread across the floor, and stupid _ironic_ sound track playing in the background, his phone was resting by his side. His father was there.
''I'm here,'' Why did that take so much effort to say?
''We're nearly there Finley don't move, okay?'' How did his father sound so calm at a time like this? He was dying, maybe who knows he might just die right now. Hadn't he argued with him just days ago, storming off in a fit of rage? But his father's voice was a comforting tune in the melody of music.
''I'm sorry for being stupid,'' The boy managed to muster out, eyes fixed on the red that spread like a spider's web across his white shirt,''I'm sorry I was being a dumbass. I'm sorry I've always been-''

Finley swore he could hear the hum of the car in the background. Somehow it took him back to those midnight drives, where he and his brothers stuffed themselves on Mc Donalds. Where they played 80's tunes on the radio. The music seemed to filled his mind, their laughter a familiar echo.

There was a pause. The car motor roared in the background as the speakers sang.
''It was good until you called me,'' His son didn't miss the heaviness in his humorous tone.
''That's good,'' Finley's hitched breath came out in a long sigh. His chest felt lighter all of a sudden,''Do you-'' He coughed,''Do you want to get some fast food after this?''
A warm laugh filled the cold mall as his father chuckled,''Maybe. If you promise to not do this again.''
''I'll try-'' There was a stab in his chest, that withered his voice to a soft whisper,''- I'll try not to.''
Oh great. Now As The World Caves In was playing. What's next, The Walking Dead soundtrack? But honestly Finley couldn't care. The sound of the car, the voice of his dad, the music... It was nice. How was death calming? Shouldn't it be terrifying? Huh, guess it wasn't.
So, in the calm. Finley shut his eyes, drifting back to the familiar front seat in the car. Where he placed all sorts of stuff in the glovebox, like his vhs tapes and photos, while the window was rolled down. He could almost feel the fresh breeze. It was comforting.
The music echoed in the distance. His family's laughter never sounded clearer.

Just a little drabble inspired by this playlist! Hope you enjoy!
I swayed softly to the music softly pouring from the gramophone in the abandoned antique store. The collection of records sat dusty and untouched in the rack beside the shelves of record players and radios. I cranked up the gramophone for another song, finding comfort in the crackling sound.
With a heavy sigh, I leaned against the wall and slid down to the floor. Alone in the crumbling antique store I used to visit with my family, the silence I had been stuck in for the months I had been alone was broken. I hummed along to the familiar tune, the light of the morning sun streaming through a hole in the short ceiling. The outside world had begun to creep inside. Water damage and moss were starting to pull up the wood boards of the floor, reclaiming what had been taken. The comfort of nature was now a heavy reminder of what had been lost.
The morning I had woken up to find myself alone still gnawed at my mind. Where had they all gone? The panic I felt as I scrambled through my house, pleading for someone to respond to my cries lingered, my wails still audible in my mind. Nothing sat in these buildings but ghosts of what once was. Echos of laughter trickling from old photographs and footsteps barely heard on wooden floors. Nothing remained but what was left behind. The people in photos didn't look real anymore. They looked bizarre. An uncanny valley effect starting to take over my mind as I began to forget what I looked like.
I stood back up, the end of the song coming on quickly. I rustled through the old records to begin a new album to begin reminiscing again. As I was about to crank up the gramophone to play a vinyl of an old band my dad used to listen to, I heard it. Soft, at the door of the antique shop, almost getting lost on the wind, a voice.
"Hello?"

As you look around the rubble and construction that you used to call home, you smile and look into the sky, silent tears of acceptance and knowing flow down your cheeks. "This is it", you say aloud, "This is how our story ends." As the sky starts to turn dark you close your eyes the light breeze of wind flows around you and you let out one last breath before succumbing to death's sweet embrace. You didn't die a hero, nor did you die a villain in this story. You died being you, and being you was the greatest you could do.

The first three songs make you feel you're in a movie at the moment... 2022, who could imagine that we would have a war, a pandemic and the biggest economical crisis in hundreds of years. Sometimes I wonder if the end is near, but I'm not even anxious or anything. The idea of the end isn't as frightening as I thought it would be when everything was okay.

The sky was covered in a blanket of grey as dust settled along the horizon and the sounds of bombs exploding sounded in the distance.

I leaned on the side of the window, looking out upon all the people, running, and trying to escape.

"Why would I be afraid?"
I looked her in the eyes as she stared at me with a questioning gaze.

Sitting at the edge of a building at my camp I set up I have working water but it's contaminated. I'm fixing it yet Im not a plumber but I'm trying my best. I have a mutant dog and he's my protection besides my old kar98 my grandpa had with stock piled ammo. Just hope any survivors don't get caught out at night. Remember thats when the horrific creatures come out. Before I finish today's message on survivor radio, close ALL shutters, get up high or burn a building it keeps the creatures away. Remember stay safe and survive!
everyone’s out there living their best lives with their partners as it all collapsed but not me. not that i want that. what bothers me is that i’m still just sat in my bedroom. doing nothing. in theory i had the ability to and yet i did absolute f*ck all.

i hear the crashes and screams and feel nothing. we all die in the end. but why must that include the world itself? if it were just humanity i wouldn’t care but no, everything is going. the only people who have any chance of survival are the rich. you know, the ones that instigated this entire thing.
i can smell the fire now, and vaguely hear someone calling out to me. it’s futile. we’ll both go, what’s the point in making the last of it better? it won’t change the entire experience. the smoke fills my nostrils and seems to leak into my brain.
my house catches fire and the heat rises. my eyes are watering so i can’t even see. the flames are creeping up towards me and i embrace them with a smile. finally, a monster can be vanquished.
when this wold ends, don't waste time thinking why, about a reason, hard feelings, money or status, it doesn't matter, it's over, maybe is better this way, u know, i used to think a lot about this, the end of a life, of all lifes, it makes u fell small, powerless and sad whitout reason, it's just crazy how we think that our problems are giant and how life is hard when we don't really suffer, when in reality they are microscopic, bigger than us yes, but still microscopic, and is funny how we think we are something big when we are feeling good, when in fact we are just a piece of meat with conscience, and we are nothing without it, just dust waiting to be blown away, it's weird how we can just disappear right now and... lol ... it gives me a felling of emptiness inside, it feels bad but sometimes i don't want it to stop.
well see, the point here is,
u can fell whatever u want, do anything,
but just never forget about love, while there are people alive, it will exist.

"The sky is beautiful isn't it?" I tried to comfort her, and she nodded to me. "It looks like the moon, the last moon I'll see."
"No, it'll be the last we'll see. Good thing it gave me time." She was confused as I looked back to her.
"I loved you, ever since I met you since junior high. Every inch of you is perfect, your brown hair shining with the last sunset, your eyes dazzling as a supernova, your smile as radiant as the brightest star in the universe. Life was one-in-a-million, so is you. We're lucky to live, to thrive, and to die a happy death." I brought her towards me, kissing her, gaining my first, and last, kiss.
"Godspeed to the human race, for doomsday had come." The tape containing the last speech of the President ran out, and I climbed up from the floor where I watched the TV, where I first watched the moon landing. It was years after the apocalypse, when the asteroid hit, when I confessed to my first love. I was the one who survived, and the only one who did, along with a dog I picked from the street where we walked together. Who knows what will happen to me here, where I've lost everything, my home, my planet, my love.

You and your twin fought, in the end, You wipe their tears before you put on their gas masks. As new ones emerge to their own eyes. You walked backwards for a bit. In your twin's perspective, The storm gets closer as you express your emotions and say words you never would have said if this never happened in the first place.
