Hello Richard...I identify with you....I struggled to get sober for about 15 years...constantly going to meetings, church, a few rehabs...I am pleased to inform you that it's over 20 years since I have been free from alcohol...the Lord took away the obsession to drink...He did it for me...He will do it for you too...He is OUR father..not like I am His son and you are His stepson...You can take solace in the fact that nothing is impossible with the Lord...in the precious name of Jesus Christ..Amen...

I evict fear, I shut the door of my mind against worry. Doubt there's no room for you in my thinking.
Depression you are defeated in Jesus name. I have the joy of the Lord.
During a brutal study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water.
On average they'd give up and sink after 15 minutes.
But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes - and put them back in for a second round.
In this second try - how long do you think they lasted?
Remember - they had just swum until failure only a few short minutes ago...
How long do you think?
Another 15 minutes?
10 minutes?
5 minutes?
No!
60 hours!
That's not an error.
That's right! 60 hours of swimming.
The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible.
I will leave you with this thought:
If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?
Remember what you’re capable of. Remember why you’re here.
That was a good illustration . Sometimes in our life too we don't get answers to our problems and we should not give up.. It can be tough when we try when nothing is happening .. But with Gods help we know that we will be successful one day
I was giving up. I was depressed and anxiety. My world was crumbling down. But God saw favor in give me peace. God saw me struggles in began to devolve them. God has done everything I prayed. My relationship are restored by my faith no sight. I have to continue to have faith. But God I trust you. 🙏

He will deliver you both. His Word is so powerful. Every morning, the first thing I do is thank and praise His holy name. I thank Him that I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. I thank Him that I need be anxious for nothing because He is my God, who will never eave me nor forsake me. As soon as the drvil starts with his whisperings, I rebuke him with theses words. I also put on my whole armour of God, before I get out of bed, ready to poke the devil! I have also written these Words on card, and I carry them with me and say them aloud. God is so good.:-)
how wonderful...my son also suffer from depression..he is 53 years old but he has never been able to work....he lives with me and i have to supply all his needs with my old age pension...please pray that all may change to good 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮❤

When I reflect back to my behaviour as a teenager I was horrible. I must have been a nightmare for my family. I prefer the person I am in my 30's. I am much more satisfied by myself and my state of being. I give a lot more time to my spiritual and religious life. It helps me understand my deficiencies. I work for the sheriff's department here in Texas and I always listen to your CZcams channel before I go to work cause it's more of a comforting knowing where I'm going to battle the next 8 hours God-bless you
Thank you for your service. I have been in the care of the sheriffs dept. I was an inmate and I know it’s hard. You can actually make a difference in the lives of those people. People like you and I are taken in to Custody every day. They have nobody to lean on nobody to talk to, they have no family. The sheriffs in the CO s are there only interaction’s. It’s not easy for anyone and I commend you. I commend you for trying to be positive before you go to work. Just know some people are there on their worst day of their life and you might say something influential to them.

I really needed this I struggle with thinking positive. I was taking my pre req class before applying to nursing school. It was intro to anatomy and physiology. That class was challenging I’m like God maybe I am not smart enough to be a nurse. So i withdrew from the class. And I was like God is becoming a nurse your will. I ended up making a choice to retake the class this fall. Plus I put a lot of pressure on myself to make certain grades. I am not a straight A student or a B student yep. And getting into Nursing school is very competitive. So I’m asking God let your will be done. 🙏🏾

I agree with you.I have been doing the same for years and got Prayers answered. Like the bible says, " Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat it's fruit thereof." Lately I have been confessing Isaiah 41:10 and one day just believed.While I was confessing it, it helped too Now I take God at his word and believe. God's word is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword...
@@jsc5423 Amen... that is powerful... Because I am rebuilding from the ground up having basically lost it all (through my own poor decisions) I used to declare. Phil 4:19. Now I find myself quoting David as he faced off against Goliath saying, " The battle is not mine it is the Lord's." God always comes through for me in even the most difficult situation.
God help me be alert to negative thoughts, turn them away and replace them with positive thoughts and statements. In your grace ! Thank you Joel for that.
