      I remember watching this and thinking he is paving his own way to a future follow through pathway. I was right then and I am still damned correct. All the red flags immediately arose. Unfortunately, time has been the bearer of the truth of my initial forebearings. There he is as I worried he might be, the second most diabolical thing inflicted on this Canada since his commie (take your pick PET or Castro) father came on the scene. I cannot believe that any one with any grey matter does not see through this abomination.

    He is so contrived, affecting emotion rather than feeling them. A true performance that illustrates how he operates. At a time when one might think he would be deeply upset at the loss of a father who seems to be a monumental figure to JT, instead he has the distance to relate chirpy childrens morality tales for his audience and future voters. It's more like a mawkish, manipulation than honest eulogy.

    Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;

      @@melodymac1 It is a line from Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" Act 3 scene 2 in which Marc Antony is giving an eulogy to Julius Caesar.
      "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
      I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
      The evil that men do lives after them;
      The good is oft interred with their bones;
      So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
      Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
      If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
      And grievously hath Caesar answer’d it.
      Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest-
      For Brutus is an honourable man;
      So are they all, all honourable men-
      Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral.
      He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
      But Brutus says he was ambitious;
      And Brutus is an honourable man.
      He hath brought many captives home to Rome
      Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
      Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
      When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
      Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
      Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
      And Brutus is an honourable man.
      You all did see that on the Lupercal
      I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
      Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
      Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
      And, sure, he is an honourable man.
      I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
      But here I am to speak what I do know.
      You all did love him once, not without cause:
      What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?
      O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
      And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
      My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
      And I must pause till it come back to me.

If you listen to his French bits, the translator has more sincerity and speaks like he is at least doing HIS job. The way he drawls it all out, pregnant pauses, sly eye movements, staged emphasis on certain phrases...tells me he relishes the opportunity to put his drama training to good use. It also tells me he rehearsed all of this over and over while watching himself ..... and practiced slowing things down. Why does he then need cheat cards?? Every damn time. He says he speaks on behalf of all Canadian re Castro. HE DOESN'T nor should her presume many Canadians sympathize with Castro's dictatorial and communistic views and practises. You didn't see Castro suffering from deprivation and lack of rights as the Cuban people did and still are.

    Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. If you bothered to pay attention to his entire eulogy you can plainly see JT was holding back his grief for the sake of trying to express to people how much he loved his father. At the end of his speech he broke down in tears. It was a great eulogy. Respectful and with a great Canadian message which many of us are forgetting as we descend into darkness as a country.

      +Scorehound I don;t know about others, perhaps they are so strong..but when my father passed away I could not speak two coherent words about his death or his legacy, whatever that was. It took me weeks or months...There was only one thing on my mind..that I will never be able to speak to him again and that was something I could not overcome so easily. And I am not a weak or inarticulate individual.

      +Tudval Stone Everyone grieves in very different ways. At my dads funeral I was so much in denial. While everyone else in the family was crying uncontrollably, others would come to me and say "take care of them, you are so strong". What they didn't realize is that 15 years later, I still can't type this without tearing and I still can't move forward unless I keep denying the reality.

      +Tudval Stone You were not raised in the public eye and trained to conduct your emotions. I happen to follow royalty, though I am a staunch republican, and those kids have to learn from an early age to control their emotions during a lot of long and boring ceremonies. Same for kids of world leaders. Justin is very emotional here.

      Bob Crooks - Surely you know that people can manifest genuine grief in vastly different ways, including tears, being choked up, “inappropriate” gallows humor, cold stoicism, empathetic relief, surgically precise poise and eloquence, etc., etc. Why would you deprive a future political leader with whom you presumably disagree the right to grieve in a way that suits him in the moment?
      Moreover, his final words and walk past the coffin sure seems genuinely emotive to me and I’m confident to everybody not polluted by hate.

      Worse than that, the eulogy was all about himself! I subscribe to the philosophy that the words "I" or "me" do not belong in a eulogy. Even if you are relating very personal experiences it is always possible to draft around them. Make the euology about the deceased. What Trudeau did is absolutely appalling.

The 1st creating $hundreds of billions ofdebt, not wanting to be outdone, the next one the -$trillion P.M.

    6:09 This was a not so subtle jab at former Prime Minister Joe Clark. When Pierre died, the party leaders in the House of Commons each gave a tribute to Trudeau. Clark, who was again the conservative leader, gave a brief eulogy where he was less than complimentary.
