- Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 1 was off to a blockbuster start and no doubt we're in for a wild ride throughout the entirety of Power Book 2 Ghost. In this breakdown, we run through what we can expect going into Power Book 2 Ghost Episode 2 with Detective Carter coming face to face with Tariq St Patrick and laying down the law, how he smells just like his father and how he's gonna put him where he belongs. I really hope they decide to send him to NY to join Force. I feel like his character has potential and he was great in the OG Power. I hope the writers don't waste the character. It's unfortunate that the show is ending because we may witness some butchered or neglected storylines.

Det Carter ain’t no Whitman. Do I think he can be the cop that outsmarts Tariq? I don’t think so. Tariq has experience with outsmarting cops and prosecutors. He’s trained to out think the unthinkable in my opinion. I’m sure Carter will catch him slipping but Tariq will recover. Gotta respect Monet for making it this far btw.

Power ghost II was limited to 4 seasons instead of 6 because ghost ( Omari) is coming back and will appear in part 2 of season 4 . They are building up to the reboot of GHOST (never dies) - new series starring Tariq, Ghost and Tommy plus that lady who became ghosts love interest. Also Tasha will make the ultimate sacrifice for her son Tariq towards the end of this season.

Random prediction…I know it’s already been said a few times over the years but Mecca is ghost brother we didn’t know about and he helped him get away with faking his death..reason I think that is because I believe they showed us Davis and his brother and spoke on him taking the fall for him all those years ago for more than just to fill in Davis’ backstory…if power goes in cycles then it’s fair to say that could be why Mecca was arrested all those years ago that caused Monet to send zeke to NC…which would also mean he could potentially be in power origins briefly as well
Which would explain how Mecca knew that he was the one that shot ghost when nobody else could actually confirm it aside from saxe

One thing that’s interesting about detective Carter is that he’s introducing himself to Tariq this quick usually in power the law enforcement officers don’t come face to face with their targets until after a while but Carter doing it this early shows how bold and hell bent he is on taking Tariq down but it also lets Tariq know that he’s coming for him and gives time to prepare

Ghost killed a co in prison and Tommy killed a homeland security agent in proctor’s apartment, Angela, a bunch of marshals protecting Tasha last season of book 2, made Vic killed a fed in season 2 of force and both ghost and Tommy were gonna kill ray ray before Tariq got to him so it’s not completely off the table also I don’t think the writers knew this would be the last season when they were writing this as there’s probably gonna be technically another season just called something else to save and even if they did know this was the last season it wouldn’t matter because book 2 and origins most likely won’t have the same writers as that will be a replacement for raising kanan

Going to be a more slow moving setup episode compared to the more fast paced action packed episode 1 IMO.

I got an interesting theory on who he is gonna blame for shooting Monet. I don’t know why I feel Tariq is gonna set 2bit up to help him and then have him killed by either Monet or one of the kids if not all of them and that’s how he gets out of debt with 2bit and gets his car back. It’s also a way for the power writers to end the 2bit story. I don’t think he makes it to Chicago
