This is such a fun video to watch. You can see the genuine look of terrified, impressed, happy, confused, and confuzzeled look as the song progresses. Love your thoughts on the song as well because the whole thing is so whimsical for a heavy metal ballad lmao

A bit about these guy's,the core 4 at the time of this era Matt,Syn,Zacky and the rev (rip) had known each other and been friends since early elementary school. Johnny the bassist is the brother of one of there friends,so they have known him forever as well. The early (starting) line up changed with the addition of Syn , johnny replaced there bassist due to some health issue's and dropped out of highschool at 17 to finish out a tour with them. Since then the line up has only changed due to the passing of the rev. But the core (4 that are left from early days) have been together since 1999. Are best friends still obviously with Matt and Syn also being brother in laws ( married twin sisters also from same school ) .

Great choice, Geebz!!!! This is a phenomenal track! You're right about the Danny Elfman style... it's such an interesting mix... they've gotten so eclectic over the years and really flexed their range... they do an Amazing straight up cover of pink floyd's "wish you were here" and a cover of Robert Rodriguez's band: Chingon's "Malegueña Salerosa" that's just perfect. So much talent. Synyster Gates is probably my favorite guitarist right now... just wonderful. Great choice. I think you'd really enjoy "the stage" for a breakdown.

Zeppelin couldn't hold a candle to the musicianship of A7X. The insane 3rd and 3rd/4th harmonizing that Brian and Zack come up with is incredible. Jimmy Page could never play what they come up with, and Jimmy the Rev would drum circles around John Bonhem.

Little late to the party, don't know how I missed this one. They do a series on their own YT channel where they break down the recording and compositional choices they make for the album recordings. They've even done a video with Rick Beato who you mentioned at the end of yours. I'll never tire of hearing artists talk about their work and seeing the passion that they poured into it, definitely worth checking out.
