the air force issued them gray lights with the 90 degree end, but what boy scouts may not know is there were 4 colored discs in the end cap, you could change the color of the beam. the reason, was for the secret code of the day on the check points. sometimes we used a number, when you challenge some officer, you throw a number at em, and they gad to come up with the rest to equal the secret number, or get jacked up. ha ha. some places in the jungle when its quiet and still, they use a color to get thru to the check point, entry control post. when we named that job entry control, it means control who gets in. not like today. halt who goes there?
I guess this is gen 3 ? My first one didn't have the breakaway, and my current one doesn't have the tailcap hook. Works great either way. The newer ones are maybe a little easier to change batteries.

I’m thinking about getting same one for carry I have a couple older furry lights but the 18650 is a game changer! right now I carry an E2D defender or the James Yeager tactician, love them the most, I got a lot of the g2x light with 320 lumens and use them as car and truck lights. I also like the newest backup surefire light but it’s just a lot of money for what it is.
Just wanted to let you know you cost me $220 tonight! After seeing all your videos on this furry I had to buy one and an extra battery! Also need to buy the clip next. Thanks for the review! Should make for an awesome EDC light!

I have a ton of surefire lights and some fenix, olight, nitecore and stream lights and see them as car lights, room lights, and camp lights, but I just always feel best when my EDC/main light is surefire when it’s critical. Im 100% with you on the furry duel fuel light, save a lot of money on batteries bc if I ever use my mine for 30min-60min I will change batteries so I know it’s 100% for next use. Thanks for all the content! You have helped me out a ton over the years with gear/reviews and things. You one of the very very few CZcams channels I know I can trust! It would be cool if that pointed end of the ring was hard plastic or something so it could be used for striking or used as a glass breaker.

Nice! I wish I could get a normal clip for surfire lights I’d carry a furry or g2x but no pocket clip kills it!

I’ve had to hard use the light already and also dropped it on concrete once, it’s doing great, I’m thinking the first one was just a lemon..
