These buyers were not easy clients for Phil and Kirstie and while they clearly love their beautiful house and property I seem quite self-congratulatory over their find. The bit that bothers me is that they seemed to give very little credit for Phil and Kirstie's patience, perseverance and incredibly creativity in finding this prize for them. So I'll say it instead: "Good job you two, very well done indeed!"
That coupke has RBF face! And the way she rolled her eyes when they walked into the second property. Good job Kirstie for putting them in their place and Phil's patience knows no end
The one thing I Love is that bungalows are so rare that this property and land and the outbuildings are worth a cool 1.2 today...imagine! They may have been a tough couple but I also adore bungalows and hate two-story 5 or 4-bed room homes. I just prefer. Amazing find and I too would grow old with those uninterrupted views, all of it was worth the large mortgage to attain the dream of a family home that they can grow old together in. Well done Phil and Kirstie you played a true blinder while still keeping cool, and grounded, you are both true professionals.
On the re-visit, I think they could have been a little more gracious and appreciative of the former owners and the work Phil and Kirstie did to secure it for them. Frankly, I got a wee bit of pleasure when she said she was stressed beyond belief. She deserved the all the stress because she brought it upon herself.
Sure, Phil and Kirstie had a huge success here, but so did the clients. As annoying and off-putting as their personalities were (sometimes I wondered how they could stand each other!), they held out for what they truly wanted. They put in the sweat equity and they achieved a home they never want to leave. Perfectionists are often annoying, but they often get want they want!
Agreed! But it annoyed me at the end where they didn't even recognize how much work kirsty and phil did to find that place and make it happen for them.
I suppose instead of letting the time crunch push them into making a poor decision , now they were taking their time . The property was perfect . The kids are the winners here. Phil is the ultimate gentleman, and listens to his clients. 💕
I thought that the first two were good prospects, but they rejected them right away. "I just don't like it" wasn't helpful. I'm glad they found something that they could accept.
No, I think they made it quite clear why they didn't like them. Number one was in the wrong location. Number two felt like a downgrade from the house they were living in.
There's a lot about this show where we, the viewers, don't ever get what the house hunters are looking for. I guess it's supposed to create drama, but watching people pooh-pooh perfectly fabulous houses without saying why makes me want to reach in and smack them. What the heck are you looking for? I love this show, don't get me wrong, but it's mostly for the patience and skill of Kirstie and Phil. I rarely ever like the house hunters because I feel like they are mostly going in with a "let's be as difficult as possible" attitude.
I felt the same about these two. They're in a rush, they're being shown perfectly suitable houses, and all they can do is wrinkle their noses. I was sort of hoping they would not get their house, they so annoyed me.
Well that is just your taste plus you weren’t trying to potty train three children at the same time with the bathroom on the next floor. Each to his own. What ever your choice is may not be someone else’s, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect for everyone.
Kirstie whinges about her buyers, or her ‘lot’ so often. Kirstie, if they didn’t apply to be on the show, you’d be without a job - no fame and money that goes either way it. So bombastic and judgemental 😊
They are in trouble - not you! I've never seen such smarmy goo from two adults when offered the chance to live in such a beautiful location with everything they SAID they wanted. I think they're more than difficult. They're weird!
why didn't they just add a small bathroom downstairs? I know it was a listed building but maybe for medical purposes- you could get around the requirements? also- the children will growup fast and she has been througt he worst of it w the youngest child- I think? just lucky after a lot of trouble finding the house- they should thank the stars every day !
They've done a second update in 2008. They typically don't do more than two updates, especially one from this long ago. They're going to do a third update on a couple later this week who was originally on the show in 2011. Most of the updates now, though, are like 2017 and after.
@@7ofthem Except There was hardly anything at all in or near Bath that would satisfy their critères, and they knew it. But nothing was ever going to be good enough for them. Phil and Kirstie managed two miracles: finding this house, and not wringing their necks. Do these two have friends, I wonder?

I hope this couple looking for a bungalow learn to have more grace and gratitude.
Amazing that the man sold it for love. Too little of that in our sad times.
Phil and Kirstie are the best!

I think the previous owner was looking for someone to truly love his prperty which explains the reluctance to sell

It would be interesting to know how the ‘reluctant’ seller fared.
There was something so sad about him. I don't think he really wanted to sell his house; something about his circumstances compelled him to.
Phil and Kirstie are just so cute
You know you're an awesome realtor when you can convince someone to sell their home to one of your clients.

How? lol Thanking them profusely and painting a personal mural?
Some couples belong together
What a lovely story: frustrating at the beginning, but a brilliant ending.
In NZ they are just called a house. It’s uncommon to build a two storey house.
Thank you for this. It was a fairy tail ending. I loved this one,but I really like this show. Love Kristy & Phil
I love that bungalow. Well done. Looks fantastic x
So glad they didn't jump at the first 2, what an amazing family home.
Would love to live in a town called Long Splat.
What a DIFFICULT COUPLE!!!!! Oh dear! NOT that I liked any of the houses either.... but searching for a year....
Here's me watching 18 years later. 📺👀🇮🇪💚

👍👍👍 All Homes is THE channel for Location Location Location episodes. Best Volleyball is a WASTE OF TIME channel.
A very sympathetic programe, as always with this couple.

Love that house they ended up with!
Lovely place 😍👋
And lovely story 😍👋
Thank you for sharing 👋💕
A blurred video but good program. Always love Kirsty n Phil!
Wonderful heart warming show. Thank you!
I agreed with you Marilyn 😍👋
And beautiful place 😍
That couple was insane.
That woman's eye roll at 7:53....what a boot!
I noticed that too! I really didn't take a shine to this couple at all.
I replayed it to check, as I thought she did roll her eyes as Kirsty was talking.
I’m pleased they were happy in the end.

@@lysem4392 They are the epitome of entitlement, IMO.
Why not install a small downstairs bathroom In their home ?
I would never consider living anywhere but in a bungalo.

They should have been extremely grateful that Phil & Kirstie went over and beyond for that house. But I doubt it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🤗
whierdoss with that size of garden they say the garden is small. what is wrong with people. People really want way more than they would occupy.
No-one who calls their children Ruby, Kizzie and Billy will ever be taken entirely seriously.

What happen to the gentleman that owned the house?
Right at the start the woman clearly stated why she wanted a ground level toilet & playroom just to be ignored by Kirsty&Phil for 3 out of 4 viewings.

Wonder if they are still there growing older than they were sixteen years ago...
Indeed, I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately, we will probably never know.
Maybe Phil/ Kirstie will answer 😉

@@Kevin-sm8pn Thank you Kevin. Kind of you to address this. 🙏
But what about Hugh?
He died.
why leave your house then?
This couple made me feel angry. I felt like shouting fine be homeless then
Kristie has gotten better at not being SO brutally honest over the years 😅
Honest, or rude?
'I don't even like it" Good grief! How spoiled.
At least she's honest.
they are soooooo fussy and so negative
They may have been fussy buyers because they knew what .they wanted and in the end.... they got it thanks to Kirstie and Phil being brilliant!
No they weren’t , they just knew what they liked and disliked.
It’s an awful lot to spend on something you only think is ok …

What arrogant losers!

Dump these pair they are awful clients
They deserve each other although I feel sorry for the children
What a pair of brats, they shouldn’t have sold their house.
