    BRAVO!!!! Never heard of these people before, but really enjoyed this wonderfully fresh performance. Some detail shined here better than in most performances by worlds best orchestras.

    Wow. Splendid performance and very controlled and tight at the the end. Conductor & orchestra seem very well connected in this outstanding musical offering.

    Bravi! this touch me very much! An orchestra of young players respecting and listening to each other for the sake of the music... and a conductor who is not putting himself beetween. I hope this will be the future of the music. Bravi again!

    Where did they find so many beautiful violinists to match Brahms' music?

    This really was a great performance. The musicians look like college students but play like pros.

    love that second theme--so life affirming and joyous--but joy after adversity--a Brahms specialty.

    Good to see the players smiling and involved with the piece unlike some of the established `great' orchestras where the players look like they could play any piece in their sleep ( and frequently do ! ) and cant wait to go home and watch the football match.

    This orchestra and conductor are young and relatively unknown. Interesting to compare to the performance of this same work by the blue chip Vienna Philharmonic under Carlos Kleiber also available here on CZcams.

    Obviously, Mahler stole that motif from Brahms to pay him homage at 5:05? My grandpa played at this hall back in the 20th century.

    @jkujawski16 I think Peace's comment partially valid and you miscontrued it--women were excluded by orchestras for many years. That certainly was NOT opprotunity. One wonders if the old boy's club still exists.

    @peacelovebassoon0107 I think some misconstrued your interesting comments. But don't be discouraged---this is the new wave and includes more women (and minorities) who have been denied seats in major orchestras in the past. no longer. this is the new 'face' of classical music. Refreshing.

  • @windstorm1000
    @windstorm1000 Před 12 lety

    @Penhandball Gender is irrelevant-but opportunity for all is NOT. Women were excluded from top orchestras for many years!! That's called 'sexism' in case you didn't know. It may still exist.

    Исполнение - просто ужасное. Жутко тяжелое. В конце - ну, дикая спешка. Красивейшие мелодии почти утеряны. В целом - всё полностью испорчено.
