You ought to check out Kenneth Williams , a unique performer and a regular in all the "Carry on " films . I'm not surprised by Clint Eastwood , it's probably one of the things the spaghetti directors would pick up with all those staring close ups .
Moe from the Simpsons was based on the American comedian on this show Rich Hall 😊
The British army, of the Napoleonic wars, were trained, using muzzle loaders, to fire three rounds a minute. An achievement they were very proud of. The aim being not marksmanship (see what I did there) but volley fire.
The grammar messed up the joke. But I see what you tried to do
They all knew it was coming at 6. Bill just took the bullet.
I knew someone who was helping train a foreign military, and during a live fire exercise they did a very poor job with a runaway 50 cal machine gun.I forget the exact model, but they tried kicking the feed off and it shot down the hill the UK forces were crawling up, right next to them. The person I knew reacted in the exact wrong way, and stood up waving his arms at them. He was very lucky, but that left him shaken for several hours. Wouldn't make that mistake again though.
I knew it was 5, and it was for safety.
Blinking, it's a natural reaction to protect your eyes, any sudden loud sound or gust of air etc, your body makes the eyes close, just for a fraction of a second.
❤ from Northeast England ❤️
Hi Nick & Jodi, Kenneth Williams was a very intelligent comic actor & raconteur from the late `50`s through to the late `80`s. He had a very unusual & recognisable voice which he used to great effect. He was a mainstay of the (Carry On) films during that time. These films were based on the risque British Seaside Postcard Humour of I believe the Victorian or Edwardian era.
Barry humpries what a legend - Dame Edna Les Patterson two of the next comedy characters ever
Watch a Carry On film to see Kenneth Williams. Carry on Cleo or Carry on up the Khyber.
I didn’t realise how many Carry On films there are. It’s crazy.
30 I believe. Of great or not so great quality. @robertgould1345 knows his stuff. Those 2 are some of the best, as is Carry On Cowboy.
Infamy infamy they've all got it in for me!
@@widget1005 my favourite Carry On line. Allegedly ad lobbed in rehearsal by Kenneth Williams
Glory is the greatest war film ever made. What an ensemble! The joke about Kenneth Williams is that he was pretty much the opposite of a Western-style he-man.
Umm no. It may be the greatest War film about the American Civil War ...
Your hair looks lovely Jodi xx
Reaction video: Watching Jodi reacting to Nick.
A nice way to start my day!
Great reactions and yup I have never been to war nor in a war but it must be hell, thanks for the uploads, and Nick quick play some WILTY and win some more points, since your luck here was spot-on with the 5 bullets!
First time I ever shot a 12g shotgun, I knew it was going to be loud and recoil a bit, so I thought I was fully prepared, but omg did I jump! Lucky no one was videoing me, I must have looked hilarious.
A solid point scored Nick
The next to top chamber should be the empty one if this is the case. When the trigger on a revolver is pulled the barrel immediately starts to rotate so the " top centre" bullet is not the 1st to be fired but will be the last.
It’s 5 so the hammer is resting on an empty chamber
In movies it is infinite. They just keep on shooting.
The answer was never going to be 6, C'mon, it's QI.
Have you ever seen "The last Tommy"? One of the last soldiers in ww1 said that he never aimed at the enemy when he fired and most other soldiers did the same.
I also heard somewhere gunslingers or some of them would put money in one chamber to be put forward to the cost of their coffin, maybe not enough but enough for a very basic/cheap coffin.
Wyatt Earp's family came from my part of England the 'The Black Country'.
His granddad emigrated from Wednesbury! 👍
“Oi, Wyatt, claen them plairts an Ar’ll gi thee a bob ta get sum suck.” 😅
You telling porkies?
@@AlBarzUK Been there,Wednesbury & cheap as chips there, got very tipsy many times eps on Guiness at £1.99 a pint! . Have friends there when i visited them couple years ago. I googles all the Wyatt's & nothing mentioned about the UK,just they were all born in the USA.
A Gunslinger of the Elde would send himself west in shame were he ever to allow his weapon to fire accidentally.
Regarding the reality of war, that is why governments are moving from investing in troop numbers and rather into tech. A huge amount of conscripted soldiers can't bring themselves to kill the enemy so rather intentionally miss. On the opposite end of the scale a surprising amount of the more unpopular higher ups get "accidentally " killed in friendly fire compared to the less unpopular ones.
Kenneth Williams was and still is a national treasure. Comedy actor back in the day. Get him on any chatshow and be amazed at his anecdotes. A total one off.
If you watched Twin Peaks, Kyle MacLachlan fired his gun without blinking.
Oh yeah. It's at the shooting range when they talk about the women the love or loved and Coop empties his revolver with an intense emotionless stare!
Kudos to you Nick, for wearing an RCB cap ... They're my favourite IPL team. I'm dreading the day when Virat Kohli retires. He's my FAVOURITE player, Then it's DK (Dinesh Karthik), And I loved it when A B De Villiers played for RCB before retirement.
You’re not too far from Tombstone, AZ. The shootout at the OK Corral took all of 30 seconds. By the way, Wyatt Earp is not regarded all too well by the Tombstone historians… He was very much in it for himself and often tweaked the law to benefit his needs. His brother Morgan was the more established lawman in those parts at the time; he deputised Wyatt prior to events in 1881.
I am watching "Wyatt Earp the Legend" on Prime. So far the only accurate points are his name and the various towns, and his brothers. He never kills anyone. He is able to hit people at 50 yards - creasing the skull. Hilarious.
I'm here for Jodi!
Kenneth Williams is a camp comedian from the 1970s Carry On films that were massive in uk - carry on up the Khyber prob the best
There was just one bullet
They were playing Russian roulette.
Land of Little men with big guns…USA😂
Try not blinking when hitting a metal bench with a hammer first... Trust me, its not as easy as you think.
Guns in most films hold about 2,000,000 bullets.
We need a Team Nick, Gaming stream 😊
There's no "pull the round in the chamber" when shooting cocking a revolver, it is ready for the first shot. Single- or doubleaction...
Kenneth Williams didn't shoot a gun in Carry on Cowboy. He appeared in a lot of Carry on films. Among his other performance's was a the Polari speaking Jules in "Round the Horn" czcams.com/video/E_w8qa2sMMQ/video.html&ab_channel=twinnedwitherlangen
Bona.
Kenneth Williams well know here in the uk for the Carry on movies. Along side a host of comedians you phil silvers or Sgt bilco fan is in carry camel think that's the title if it not someone will tell you
Carry On Follow That Camel. He played the role of Sergeant Knocker as Sid James was unavailable.
@@SpeccyMan 👌👍 that's the one.
Did Alec Baldwin know that ?
Wyatt Earp was the Tom Curran of his day.
Who was who?
I got it right
before watching i would have said 5 so as to leave the hammer on an empty chamber
I was always told that the revolver pistols were very unreliable and not very accurate. Also no one really shot from the hips with them because after each pull of the trigger the hammer would have to be cocked back again. Hence why you see in westerns gunslingers "fanning" the mechanism with thier freehand.
BTW did you know that the world's fastest draw was or still is held by a Brit. Lol
Before I watch this I am going to guess 0 is the answer as the original revolvers used separate parts, shot, powder and cap, rather than a single bullet.
Your said six
Five
Cheat
Small Q, is mars in retrograde to venus,. Or vice versa. I ask as is an awful lot of couples are having minor spats or tiffs. This last few days!.
Some of the gun scenes you see in the films Nick are all crap you see a man running down the pavement or do you call it? Sidewalk? It’s about 300 yards and he’s taking down its crap The velocity of the bullet. Wardrop too quickly. I have been using guns for more than 50 years, so I do know a little bit about them. Keep up the good work love the videos to Jodie who is out of league.😂😂😂😂🇬🇧👍
American history is very contrived, how many "movies" do you know - even those based upon actual events - came close to telling the story without a great deal of "artistic freedom" in its recreation?
Many still believe "Roots" is factual. Never learn history from "movies" the "true story" claims are often a marketing scheme.
_The events depicted in the movie Glory are essentially all historical, if given the expected Hollywood “flair.” With the exception of Robert Gould Shaw (played by Matthew Broderick), most of the major characters in the film are fictional, including Cary Elwes’ character_
As usual a story based on historical events...
