there was a darker skinned black girl in my class with real hair almost reaching her butt. idk why people assume that all black girls have short hair..and assume it must be a weave if it's long...anybody can grow hair...
k corn that's not really a fair argument bc I'm mixed and ppl used to always assume my hair was fake when it was down to my hips in high school. But yet I know white girls that wear fake hair and u know what's insane? No one asks them if their hair is fake and no one assumes anything about their hair. The fact that anyone would even think that all mixed and black girls wear fake hair is stereotypical and highly ignorant.
k corn what about the millions of white women that DYE and fry their childrens hair yet no one ever says anything about that. It's pretty hypocritical. Black women are pointed out about EVERYTHING yet another race could do the mirrored image and not a peep is said.
I used to watch these videos and be so envious of their hair and now 9 years later I’ve transitioned from major heat damage and bleach to completely healthy waist length hair. Glam Twins really helped a lot of people especially me.
Hello, lovely lady, I wonder how you, as well as these lovely women, are doing now, and especially with the lawsuits considering the dangerous long term effects of certain kinds of relaxers? Also, did any of you use relaxers that were in said lawsuits, or did you all do things a much better, as well as safer, way?
I keep seeing people commenting, "Is that your real hair or is it a weave?" Or "That's definitely a weave." Oh my word people come on. Why would they post a video with tips to grow healthy hair but they're wearing a weave? What's the point of that? It makes absolutely no sense! If you actually take the time to actually watch their hair videos, you would know they have naturally curly hair and they just straightened it! There's even a flipping video on their channel with them physically straightening their natural hair. So people please, before you post and make idiotic statements, please do your research. I don't think I can handle another ignorant comment.
Bri Bri Stewart You're comment is completely irrelevant. Yes I am aware that they have a curl routine, everyone with curly hair has a curl routine. How do you think they take care of their hair? You can't let it just run wild, what do you think is going to happen to it? I do not see the reason for your correction. And if I am misunderstanding your comment then please elaborate.
Sydni Joseph yes you are I could careless how much you know about them. If someone is asking a question obviously it's directed at the person who posted the video. Sorry my opinion offends you. I was just saying, you'll get over it.
I am a Mexican woman with naturally wavy hair, I think we do have different hair textures HOWEVER I LOVE YOUR VIDEO! Regardless of our different hair textures you two ladies know exactly what your talking about! Every woman of every color and hair type needs to watch your video! I've watched tons of hair videos and I cant stand listening to a lot of people, but you two ladies are genuine and insightful! Thanks a million!!! And P.S I taught myself to French braid my own hair so it can grow out I braid it every day and every night I SWEAR BY MY BRAID!
Kelsey & Kendra ~ both of you are obviously beautiful intelligent women weather your hair is straight, curly, heat damaged, makeup on or off! So please don't allow the small people (no matter their color or ethnicity) get under your skin. Small people will remain petty & tiny of mind! I find that in my 60+ years on this planet how interesting it is that others can point out others faults while totally ignoring their own! ANYWAY, let me just add my gratitude that you that have completed beauty school, and are willing to share your knowledge to help others improve their beauty and knowledge base! I'm 3 months into transitioning my hair and am truly appreciative of the tips you lend to help me with my hair, skin, and makeup. Many thanks!
these are tips on how to maintain your hair that grows. Most people's hair grows half an inch per month so it should grow six inches per year but due to heat, split ends, damaged hair, etc we tend to lose length. these tips are ways to maintain your hair so that you will KEEP the length that is growing from your scalp.
Another thing people dont keep in mind when it comes to biotin is that you have to actually be taking care of your hair in order to see results! I've seen girls eat crappy & neglect their hair & be like, "these pills dont work". It's like wearing a waist trainer, not working out and expecting to see results -.-
***** They have southern American accents, everyone has an accent. If that's how you normally speak it may not seem like an accent to you but to people who are from other places it is an accent. So please stfu and learn something.
The Glam Twins are my new obsession. My favorite subscription. I am soooooo over people leaving rude comments. If u do not like them, please do not watch no one is forcing you to. Keep rude comments to yourselves you cyberbullys!
Love the no heat and deep condition tip. I went 6 months without heat, deep conditioned weekly, and wore twist outs as my protective style and my hair grew 2 inches. I went from APL to BSL. Definitely going to limit my heat from now on because my hair has never grown that much in that amount of time
staci scott I use different ones but the ones I really love are from SheaMoisture and Curls. I pretty much bought all of the ones in their favorite deep conditioners vid they did like 2 years ago over time
That's so annoying LIKE BLACK GIRLS CAN HAVE Long hair if u take care of it like u don't have to be mixed( or have "good hair")to have long hair ppl immediately think that! As long as u TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR It will grow
What does being MIXED have to do with hair??? My family is “MIXED” & not all of us have what is called “GOOD HAIR” so it’s F’d up to generalize certain people (women) based on their race!
Ive been using CZcams for over 10 years and have watched a ridiculous amount of hair tips vids and have to say you guys are great youtubers. I have a serious pet peeve for long videos (low tolerance for anything over 5 minutes) and despite this I still thoroughly enjoyed your video from start to finish. All of your information is spot on and you guys are a pleasure to listen to. Will be subscribing.
The 10 Tips In A List: - No Heat (6 months) - Deep Condition - Extra Virgin Oil/Coconut Oil/Mask/Hot Oil (5+ mins)/macadamia deep repair mask - redken extreme strength builder plus - Aphogee serious care & provitamin leave in conditioner - macadamia healing oil treatment - a lil olive oil on tips - take biotin - protective styles (ruby bridges, pippy long stocking lol) - be patient
Hello I just found your videos last night. I'm 66 & I am growing my relaxer out, it's been almost a yr since my last relaxer. My hair is a little longer than bra length when straight. However, I do love my curls. I knew I had curls, but I like it straight! LOL I deep condition & I use coconut oil in my hair. So, thank you for all the info, it helps me a lot.
I usually sway away from long videos, any video over 5 minutes, I lose interest. but this video kept my interest, very informative and I really appreciate how you two gave tips for all budget types. that was really good.
I have been binge watching all of your hair videos! They all give great tips and advice and I really think that they will help me take better care of my hair so thank you guys!
I have literally watched over 150 hair growth tip videos and this has been the most realistic and helpful one I have come across. I am impressed! Keep up the great videos this one was AMAZING
Prenatal vitamin don't have any hormonal things in them at all. I've been taking prenatal vitamins for years not for hair growth but for overall health. My doctor told me its the best multivitamin for you and told me to take them if I was going to take any multivitamin. There higher in iron and other nutritional values than other vitamins. But all of your other advice sounds pretty awesome and I'll be sure to try some of them .
The leave in conditioner styles work. I do it about twice a week when I wash my hair. I only blow dry in emergency cases, or a last minute change in plans. Liked the tip about forgetting your hair and not being at it constantly. I use to have a really bad habit of doing that. Much better results since the change!!!
You guys are amazing. some people make videos without knowing anything they are talking about, but you guys are professional, and all your tips are extremely helpful.
I love how they cautiously prep you for the price and use of the macadamia nut oil treatment products - - it's like they can actually hear all of us say "DAAAAYYYYUUUMMM" lol
This was the first video that i saw on your channel. I was compelled to subscribe and go natural from relaxed. Thanks for resharing. I also purchased your book and have been watching you guys since. Oh and I'm 60+ and love you guys 😊
You guys are such an inspiration throughout my journey I would tune in on your videos to keep myself encouraged I love you guys and hopefully I'll see you guys in Montgomery soon.
Thank you for this video. I just want to compliment you on how you speak. You ladies are lovely and you speak with a lot of poise and class. I really respect that. What I will definitely take from this video is that patience and a healthy lifestyle are indispensable! I have totally gained from watching this video. Than you.
