This song, and ofc band always gonna be special to me. I lived in neglect and isolation as a child, I really didnt mind music at all and I never had any of my own. Only heard like Spice girls and Backstreet boys in school and by friends, and it didnt speak to me. I remember going with a friend to a music shop when I was a teen, someone there had already listened to this single, so it was in the cd player where you could listen to CDs, and I just listen a bit too, and yeah.. Slipknot - Duality is the first single I ever bought, first CD I ever owned.. :3 And now I love to see peoples reaction to Slipknot :3
They actually built the house for the music video and the fans decided to destroy it all and honestly one of the best music videos ever considering the band was in a small room with over 1000 fans and they destroyed everything
Check out their DVD Disasterpieces. Its one of many of their great performances. I was lucky enough to see the original Knot just months before Paul died. It is to this day one of the most epic concerts I've been to!! As a musician myself I played in a small local metal band here in Minnesota. We got to open for a few bigger names in the metal scene but never got off our feet really. But we did open for 36 Crazyfists and chill with them after the show, it was a wicked night for sure. 36 Crazyfists has some great songs you should check out including "I'll go until my heart stops", "Felt through a phoneline", "Bloodwork", "Elysium", and "Aurora". The history of Metal search will show some things but in it some list Slipknot as "Nu Metal". Which adds rap style lyrics. Korn, system of a down, and slipknot Not sure where Rage against the machine lands yet I know you would like them as well. However metal really has beauty all over the board. I will think of more suggestions. Dethklok is great. A few years bad the animators of "batmetal" used some of their songs and people started to dig in to some heavier metal.
