    I hate to be that guy but it needs to be said... always, always, always wear a respirator when cutting/sanding carbon fiber. Otherwise great video! You got a new subscriber.

    • @AMAZINGRC
      @AMAZINGRC  Před 3 lety

      I really appreciate your great and helpful comment.!! Normally I would use my respirator when cutting and sanding carbon fiber. However I always overdo things on safety. I was afraid that a respirator maybe a little over the top and I did not want to scare anybody off of completing this project. So I promoted a vented mask which everybody has laying around the house right now. I have been a wood worker for about 25 years now Working with most solid surfaces. Carbon fiber is something I stumbled upon a few years back. So I am relatively new to the carbon fiber game. My question is this, respirator is mandatory? Reason why I ask is there are several people that Follow along with my builds and some do replicate and I would hate to lead people down and unsafe route. I figured that a standard particle mask would be fine.If I'm wrong please let me know. And thank you again for the great and helpful comment.

Only took me about 2 hours to create and that was while attempting to film everything. So I can probably knock are set out in about an hour if I tried hard enough. 3 sets out of a sheet so I could probably let them go pretty cheap. And it wouldn't hurt to give a set or 2 away. Excellent Brian! Very well explained and top results. What is the weight difference between the metal and carbon fiber chassis? Also, I see you use a vacuum cleaner to suck all the carbon dust 👍 It's worth mentioning that this dust is a health hazard from what I read.

      @@RCscale101 to be honest, I really don't know. I have never tested. I can say this though... 1. I have a ton of carbon fiber on my Komodo including a pair of large rock slides. They are 3mm thick and aside of a few scratches, they are still in exceptional condition. And they have seen some serious action. 2. It all comes down to thickness. These chassis rails are only 1.5mm thick and do flex a tiny bit. However, once I get a few things installed I am assuming that things will stiffen up a bit. I personally love the stuff.!!
