Iv'e got 2 Katana MK 1 100 amps both work fine with the footswitch.
This is what the GA FC should be.
Idk why they didn’t make all katanas controllable with the app like the katana air is. They should all have wireless guitar input and bluetooth

@@michaeldean7220 it had an app at the very beginning but it wasn't Bluetooth. As soon as I got the adapter to plug my phone in it was discontinued lol
@@ronburgundy922 Katana needs to focus on their software instead of releasing another amp with negligible improvements. They should’ve just added Bluetooth (like almost every other modeling amp) so you can connect a phone or iPad without having to buy a an adapter. I don’t have a working PC now and don’t really need one anymore except for this. I’ll just get a used Katana 50 MKII for $100 as I just need the power to jam with our 3/piece I started with my coworkers
The app Katana Librarían fits 100% with the parameters and controls from all Katanas. It is paid thou, but it seems to be worth the money.
Really a great tool! I got mine yesterday. Only wish that the colors in effect mode would match the Amp so you could see what you have at the moment.
My video came out first ! 😜 yours was better of course!!! Funny but I used the same overhead shot composition except that mine was poorly lit. Love the video brother!

I wasn't amazing while watching this video. I was unfaithful. I was over here watching this thinking about my GTX 100 and how it came with a footswitch and an LED screen and built-in bluetooth and a bunch of perfectly voiced fender tube amp sims and xlr out and usb-c and an app with 100's of pedal sims and now that I have a Line 6 Pod Go wireless from a certain beloved youtuber in Germany, I would never need to own another amp or pedal in my entire life....but I stayed for the animals at the end and clicked the like button so I guess that something :) Kudos to Airstep for making something that every practice amp should have come standard with. I am glad a company out there had the marbles to make it happen.
I thought it said Kiana control… I don’t believe such a thing exists! That katana head is still on my list of stuff to maybe get, that air step I could use even without the amp to control other stuffs.

Thanks for the review. As I already have a foot switch for my Kat 50 I’d be happy if Airstep just made a smallish input for the usb that would connect with your phone and allowed touch screen control.
Have one on the way, only wish item is if the color lights changed to match the green/red/yellow buttons on the amp so you knew which you were on.
If y'all REALLY want full control...use a midi controller such as the Melo Audio Midi Commander in conjunction with the GA FC or Air step!! The midi controller takes you to all 8 channels without banking up or down and the GA FC acts like a buncha stop boxes in (effect mode)

That tap tempo built in is just so ridiculous that Boss didn't include something like that - they have these crazy amps that are extremely limited like they weren't thought through practically. EVERYONE wants to footswitch these! Not crazy about using batteries, but these are genius
I played Katana+gafc few years. In december power amp of it fried. Partly because of you, I bought used ENGL rock master 50. Now I also have some buttons with colors connected with 3 cables, u know? 🥳😄

Nice content, I have problem with my AIRSTEP KAT, upon switching the AIRSTEP, there is no light at the letter 'I'. I have gone through the manual and it says restart the amp, after restart nothing happen. If I press any button there is green light, but nothing happen when I strum the guitar
just bear in mind (at the 10:00 min section) that the Katana Air download (for the Tone Studio) is only applicable for an iPhone or iPod...so it says when you get to the download link...otherwise, you'll be relegated to using your laptop for that task.
I think that's the best accessory for the katana, might get myself one to play around with
I know that this is a quite old video but I have to try my luck...Do you think that the Boss Katana AIR/EX app can work with the CME Widi Uhost bluetooth midi to usb adaptor? To be honest I tried to make it work but although the app recognises Widi Uhost as a device it gives back a "Communication Error" while you try to connect to it. Thanks and regards.

It would be nice if the Katana comes with an built in looper pedal, like the Fender GTX100
For the money you can't really expect Boss to include a looper for the price of a Katana and it being the best amp you can buy for the money, especially when they sell arguably one of the better loopers RC-1 to RC-5 and the latest RC-600 that can do more than people have figured out yet though. Now them including a bluetooth makes more sense considering the functionality of the amp

Make sure you get the “Airstep KAT”… not the Airstep lite. I just joined a band at work and need louder amp than my Yamaha THR10ii and I can get a used Katana 50 MKII for like $99 and this. I have an iPhone 14 so hopefully this works together. I’ll have to test it out and see before I buy

Interesting but they built it backwards. The footswitch should be wireless that connects to a phone/tablet/whatever that is connected by USB to the amp. They also should have included a jack for an expression pedal. I already have a wired footswitch I can select channels with I got for less than $20.

Since version 2 of the BTS app you cant connect the BTS app and airstep at same time as you could before
at moment the version 2 app will only look and find the katana air / air ex and no other midi device
Ruined my setup hope they resolve this asap

Meh : D Nobody really needs that product. Just get the 100 + footswitch or if you get the 50 stick a couple of pedals in the front (like I do). Deep editing can still be done on both on a laptop/PC and you only do it once so this is a bit pointless.
