This video is explains how we can use Cat6 cable for AHD camera system. We can use Video balun for doing so. CCTV video baluns, also known as UTP baluns and CAT5 baluns, allow CAT-5 cable and other twisted pair wire to be used in CCTV camera and HD security camera installations. Video baluns allow installers to use more cost-effective structured cabling techniques to wire security cameras instead of using traditional RG59 coax cable.

Video balun cost maximum 120/-. Different types are available. I think there is no very branded company in this field. Nobody gives warranty, but found all working good.

Never use a CAT 6 cable for analog or HD cctv cameras. Use CAT6 only for IP cameras. The reason is very simple. Analog cameras transmit analog signals which are best transmitted over a coaxial cable.
Additionally the copper conductor inside Coax cable is generally much thicker than on Cat6 which allows for the transmission of the signals with less resistance which improves the image quality received by the recorder over longer distances.
AHD over Cat6 is only there is no chance of cable replacement and is limitted distance of 10 to 20 meter

New building doing cat6 cabling for IP camera. Due to high rate, customer usually choose AHD camera now. Video balun is the solution for that. As you said, cat6 cable designed for Digital Data transmission. Video balun will convert AHD cameras analog signal to digital during transmission. We recommended cat6 in AHD camera only with video balun. Thank you for the comment 🙏

Balun convert unbalanced analog signal to balanced analog signal.
If u only consider cost effective installation using cat6 cable, there is a compromise in video quality in future.
Coax cable is a reliable solution for long term working of Analog CCTV.
