  • "“Water is the driving force of all nature." The famous words of Leonardo da Vinci. The Ironman 4x4 team, along with the "Ironvan" travel Botswana with Will of Africa on a specialized photographic tour. Starting off in Elephant sands moved up towards the Khwai River, through the Mababe depression and ended up on the banks of the Chobe River.
Elephant Sands is a bush lodge & campsite in the north-eastern part of Botswana.

The Khwai River is a river in Northern Botswana. It extends from the Okavango River and forms part of the Northern border of the Moremi Game Reserve. Not far from the river, on the North Gate of Moremi, is the BaBugkakhwe village of Khwai.
The Mababe depression lies in the area between Maun and Savuti and starts in the vicinity of the village of Mababe approximately 115 kilometres NE of Maun. It has some of the worst clays to be found in Botswana and is best avoided in the rainy season. The Khwai river can also cause problems in the Mababe depression as it sometimes floods its banks as was the case in October 2008 when it made the road through Mababe village impassable to all vehicles.
The Cuando River is a river in south-central Africa flowing through Angola and Namibia's Caprivi Strip and into the Linyanti Swamp on the northern border of Botswana. Below the swamp, the river is called the Linyanti River and, farther east, the Chobe River, before it flows into the Zambezi River.
