The problem is the lack of trust. In Germany, for example, there are tech-youtubers who only make videos WHEN THEY GET THE TEST DEVICES FREE of charge! Some of them have 500000 ssub. that destroys the trust

This is false though. Because every phone or other tech that comes out MKBHD gets it for free. If you give too many bad reviews about their product they'll stop sending it to that reviewer. That's the payment (getting things lent to you for free and not having to spend thousands each time) and it means that the companies actually do have control and influence over the content of reviews.
@@olamide6712 The thing is, mkbhd is so big that he wouldn't give 2 shits about getting free products. He has 15 million subscribers. He can buy anything he wants aside from a few edge scenarios. If anything, the company would be afraid that he would speak ill of them in his videos. I am not saying this is true for every company but it is definitely true for most companies. It's all about bargaining power and Marques has a lot of it.

Jeff, it’s very rare though, I would say mostly the people like that are either you tubers or people who got successful by luck for example winning the jackpot, and the reason why is that to be rich/successful you usually need to be an ass examples being (Elon musk, jeff bezos, billgates) all of these people have mistreated employees and usually have suicide nets on there buildings because workers want to kill them selves

His view is SPOT on with how we run our channel! I was so happy to hear this from him. Makes me feel a lot better of our direction even though we are still a popular but smaller growing channel. We ALWAYS tell the truth about a service on our channel EVEN IF they pay us more then others for brand collaboration results. Most of our collaborators respect it but some don't and honestly we don't care, because I've told many clients "my brand is full transparency, while everyone else on CZcams is just SELLING STUFF" We've found at the end of the day your reputation and full transparency is worth MORE than money! Great video and thank you so much for posting this Marques.
