Kylian Mbappe vs Marcus Rashford is the stupidest debate I've ever heard. At 24, Kylian Mbappe is already the top scorer of all time in PSG history, 5th top scorer of all time for France, he's scored 12 WC goals, has won a World Cup, has already played in 2 World Cup finals, has scored 4 goals in those finals including a hattrick and he was the top scorer at a World Cup. He's set to be the best player in the world for the next couple of years and along with Erling Haaland, he is seen as the face of football.
Marcus Rashford is a very talented player and he's quality, but is nowhere near Kylian Mbappe's level and has never been. Yes he's just coming off the best season of his career where he had 30 goals and 11 assists, but overall he has so much inconsistency in his game and it's been his issue for a long time at Manchester United, he's a player who can have hot streaks in front of goal, and is capable of going 8 games without scoring. Comparing the 2, makes no sense Kylian Mbappe is head and shoulders above him, Marcus Rashford has never proven that he can be consistent enough during a season and he can stay hot for a while.

During a Community Shield game between Liverpool and Manchester City, Erling Haaland had a terrible debut game for Manchester City, missing so many clearcut chances in front of goal, Darwin Nunez for Liverpool had a good game off the bench, in fact he scored in that game and had a great cameo. After the game, many said that Erling Haaland will flop in the premier league and will find it harder to score goals there than in the Bundesliga and Darwin Nunez for Liverpool will have a better season than Erling Haaland and they were comparing those 2 before the season started last year. That aged perfectly even at the start of August September the comparisons were a joke as Erling Haaland already scored 2 hattricks and had 10+ goals in the premier league while Darwin Nunez was suspended for 3 games after getting sent off in his first game at Anfield and he was struggling to get up to speed for Liverpool. Both of them have had opposite seasons in terms of individual and team performance.
At the end of the day, the debate was pointless and we knew who was a better signing for their respective clubs. Erling Haaland broke the premier league goalscoring record, had the most goals in the premier league, had 4 hattricks in the division, 6 altogether and he couldn't stop scoring goals, helped Manchester City win their 5th league title in 6 seasons, he was the top scorer in the champions league and finally helped them get over the line in the champions league, more importantly they won a treble 3 trophies in one season and even if Messi will win the award this year, many are still backing Erling Haaland to win the Ballon Dor, he's a contender for the award.
Darwin Nunez had a very disappointing season for Liverpool. Not only did he get sent off in his first ever home game for Liverpool, he failed to make a desired impact in most of the games he featured for Liverpool last season. He was a player who was raw in talent, but he was just a poor finisher missing too many open chances in front of goal, he's been too inconsistent as well because every time he's on a good run of form and it looks like he's scoring, you'd think he's found his form, but then goes 5-6 games without scoring, and then misses a lot of chances. Towards the end of the season when Liverpool had their best run of form, he was benched, and with the likes of Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz partnering Mohamed Salah in attack, when everyone's fit right now Darwin Nunez isn't guaranteed a starting spot for Liverpool unless he raises his game. Liverpool failed to qualify for the champions league for the first time since 2016, as they were knocked out of every domestic cup competition and Real Madrid in the last 16, destroyed them 5-2 away from home altogether lost 6-2 and this was 12 months after almost completed a quadruple.
This debate between Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez was over before it even started.

Ivan Rakitic is a fantastic player and yes he has good overall career stats, but Luka Modric has always been above him in terms of talent, hard work, and overall ability. During his time at Barcelona, there was never a period where Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric were on the same level. For the Croatia national team where both of them played together and when they got to the World Cup final in 2018, Luka Modric was credited for helping his country get very far he was voted as the best player in the tournament and that earned him a Ballon Dor. It's not even about the 5 champions league titles he's won the success Ivan Rakitic has had at Barcelona stats, or trophies both of them have won, Luka Modric has always been on a different level than him for club and country in terms of his impact and influence he brings to the team.

He already established himself as a big team manager, he did that when he was the manager of Barcelona, Klop did that when he was at Dortmund. Their difference is after they have established themselves, one kept getting better and kept winning while Klop was just good and average.
He promoted Barca B from third division to second. That's why he got the Barca job. If his disciple could promote a lower division clubz he could too.

C'mon now. We all know Klopp would've done alot if he was funded with enough resources. Not to take anything away from Pep but still think about it, He won the bundlesliga with that dortmund squad 2 times in a row against that terrifying Bayern Squad.

The problem is that he very rarely tweaks his formation. This is what happened to Liverpool. They were dominant for a while, but if a key player gets injured, then Klopp doesn't know to adapt fast enough. Meanwhile Pep has won a league title without a fit striker up front.

City fan here and I gotta disagree, as he put it 'Alisson is a better shot stopper than Ederson'. Honestly, Allison is my GK of the season and that of many. Eddy is different, he is great with the ball which is what distinguishes him. Not just Allison, no GK playing rn can do what Pep wants his GK to do as good as Ederson. In fact, Ederson has proven that he can actually play midfield as an average midfielder. On the other hand, he is the 21st in the ranking of saves by GKs(in the epl) meaning that a sub Keeper of a certain team has managed to save more than Ed(36 starts!). Citeeh's defensive prowess is largely due to there defense system especially Ruben and his leadership!

My most laughable comparison is Kevin De Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes.
Kevin De Bruyne is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world and one of the best players in the Premier League. Excellent passing, can shoot well even on his weaker foot, press resistant, excellent all round game, good technical ability and won everything for Manchester City including the Champions League title. De Bruyne is normally calm and collected even on his worst day.
Bruno Fernandes while good in his own right ain't even half the player De Bruyne is. Terrible passing, shocking all round game, average technical ability, not press resistant, can't dribble to save his life and above average shooting even on his weaker foot. Yes his numbers are impressive but there's a reason his play style is erratic. Apart from winning the League cup with Manchester United Bruno Fernandes ain't good enough for any big club due to his petulant nature and it gets worse on his worst day. I'm a Manchester United fan but comparing Bruno Fernandes to Kevin De Bruyne is a joke. I won't even compare Bruno Fernandes to Bernardo Silva or any other City, Barcelona, Madrid, Bayern and Liverpool midfielders. Even James Madisson and Mason Mount is better than Bruno.

Number of trophies isn't a fair measurement to begin with?
It is about overachieving expectations and playing style. And Klopp has done that more than Pep. Besides the fact that they are both amazing at their job.
Pep coached a golden generation at Barcelona, Bayern and Man City. He never overachieved anything really.
With the budget that Man City has, it is genuinely impressive that Liverpool was able to compete.
Though I'm more of a Pep-fan myself. I think it is a scandal to make Klopp look like he is worse simply because of trophies. He was able to bring Mainz to Europe and compete with Bayern's golden generation at Dortmund.
Most ppl are saying it's Haaland vs Darwin cos of the just concluded season, but for me it has to be Van Dijk vs Maguire.
