They keep wondering if the Beelzebufo came from the PacMan frogs by rafting across from Madagascar, but this seems impossible since the Beelzebufo is much older. Considering that, why couldn't it have worked the other way with the PacMan frogs travelling to South America from Madagascar? That would explain the dates as well as the similarities between them. Of course convergent evolution is possible but the number and complexities that are different than other frogs but exactly the same in Beelzebufo and Pacman kind of rule that out if they were not interbreeding and they obviously weren''t.

5:29 I loved pausing here and looking at the map of Earth from 93 mya. How geology, biology, chemistry, and plate tectonics came together to form the shallow seas we see in North America, Venezuela, Russia and the Middle East. A heap of deep time later and we have the oil titans of the world. Just a cool side note visualization in another nice video, thanks!
