  • During his lifetime Cyril Smith was one of the UK's best-known politicians. But a new investigation shows that security services held on to a file with evidence of the Liberal MP's child abuse.

I am a victim of abuse myself in the 1980's . My heart goes out to all the victims. several things you have to remember about child abuse and abusers at that time. Abuse was not taken seriously as a crime back then. A child would never be belived over an adult, especially if that adult was famous. Abusers were clever a lot of the time in who the would abuse. Smyth and Savile picked on pepole in the care system, or hospitals or borstal. Pepole that would be seen as trouble makers.
If you had the courage to continue in your report you would have to face the person in court, there was no such thing as video evidence as there is today. Some of the questions would be asked to discredit you.

I'm very serious--would you EVER recover from that grotesque concoction of sights and (likely) smells?
And yet it's allowed to continue because people "find it uncomfortable" to discuss. Just remember what the people who are abused are LITERALLY exposed to. If they don't get to "ignore it", why do you get to?
I'm so fed up with people just closing their eyes out of bs prudishness or CYA/embarrassment.
So what do we do about it?

My Uncle was,t as important as Smith .... so he was killed before he could be arrested .. The police phoned to tell him he was screwed, they were coming to arrest him , that a boy he took to Dolphin square had made a statement . Lincolnshire police had been warned by two other victims about his guns ,,,, they did not seize them ,,,, he was shot dead when they arrived . His case was reopened by Lincolnshire police recently . I doubt the case will ever get justice , not while we are governed by the corrupt .

They are told by higher authority not to investigate.
They can't go ahead and investigate and charge someone without a reasonable chance of conviction, once charged it's down to the C. P. S to decide if to pursue the matter through the court's, and in certain circumstances the file is dismissed others it's listed " As not in the publics interest".
None of this is down to the police, they work within a system.
Much like the military, if you are sent off to fight an illegal war and told to bomb civilians, and you know its wrong, you either refuse, and if you do you'll face the consequences, or you go ahead and try to justify those actions to yourself and all around you, to keep your job.

A few years ago we heard that a secret store room had been found at 10 Downing Street which was packed with reports that had been thought to be lost. At the time we were told that someone with the highest security clearance would have to be assigned to catalogue the contents, and that would take years. I don't suppose that's a priority task at present, so the Child Sexual Abuse inquiry will not see or even hear of these.

Everywhere else police know what is wright and wrong and they know what to do whereas in England is every case must be reported to the higher ups first and then they are told on the radio what to do and how to treat each case. It's the system that needs changing because its old and it's designed to protect demons.

He was blown to bits by the IRA and rightly so. I also heard a story about a time in the 60s when the queen and her husband visited a school for native children in camloops Canada. They took 10 children with them for a 'picnic' and those children were never seen again. One of their classmates spoke up about it years later and mysteriously died shortly after. The royal family are up to all sorts of nasty business, no wonder the queen loves dishing out knighthoods to pedos.

He lived in Liberal territory: i.e. that party held political power for generations there. He was a major figure in local politics and voluntary work, with his own power base, long before he got into parliament. In such a small parliamentary party, he was a big fish in a small pool.

Watch very carefully at 6.38 mins....
see the body language of what can only be described as physical fear ,portrayed by the man at the front of the group.
Notice how Cyril Smith slowly moves around, well aware of his effect on this man.
What went on between these two people remains a mystery.
But its interesting,to see the way he puts his hands up,to protect himself.
As if Smith had caused some violence in the past, and the man is expecting more.
    We don't know.
    Is this man still alive????

I think its clear that Smith was a bully an used his physical size to impose himself on people an all of them look a bit uncomfortable or submissive towards him .. its like they the little people . im the big powerful man ..i guess he got that complex even more by the fact he could walk around abusing boys an destroying lives for decades ...i think he was an extreme NARCISISTIC PHYSCOPATH .. the smug look on his face that is there all the time . pompous . superiority complex .. his victims who spoke to police were threatened to withdraw .. he was sending threatening letters to people he saw as threats right up till his 80s ,, he was a guy who got ahead by stepping on people an I dont see the charm that made him somewhat a celeb .. it is basically the fact that he was a big fat guy so that gotta be funny cos big fat guys usually are etc mentality .. but he was a monster who was fine with people who werent a threat to him an who would feed his ego . but if u challenged him or got in his way then he would turn .. maybe that guy had a disagreement with him once or twice an made him turn ... i think the reason he lived with his mam was cos he was a guy ONLY A MOTHER COULD LIVE .. an she would feed his ego an tell him how wonderful he was etc .. so surely he is so powerful . he can do what he wants to little peasent boys .. .. he gives me the creeps more than savilLE .. i think the fact Cyrill was a badly bullied child who was humiliated intimedated an teased made him harbour a dark aggression an desire to be powerful an become a bully .. he learnt from an early age that the way u get power is by intimedation an forcefulness .. he became a powerful man an completely abused his power .. its just a shame that he got away with it .. different times now .. what he did is vile to boys .. any kind of abuse is awful .. but for a boy to be abused by a BIG FAT VILE MAN is about as bad as it gets ... cos no doubt 90percent of these victims were/are straight boys/men who would be sick at the thought of men .. so this kind of abuse is not just stealing childhood . its stealing someones sexuality ... he shoulda been locked up way back in the 70s ,,, an i am sure that the prisoners would treat the idiot how he deserved to be treated . punch that smug look off his face an give him a taste of his own med .. im suprized someone didnt have him killed ..they shoulda put him in a cell with Mike Tyson or Bronson

Kyle W. Kavenaugh was accused of rape by one woman who didn’t go public until a highly contested political confirmation. Smith was accused by dozens of children and investigated by the police and security services and admitted some of the crimes to a colleague, and the allegations were made public after his death. Not comparable at all.
