When companies default on their debts and go bankrupt they are either liquidated or broken into pieces and sold to acquirers at distress sale prices.
What can one do with a country? Maybe break it up and have smaller countries and better governments. Force the Islamic mulk people to go to school, learn some skills and become productive so that they can repay these loans.

Pakistan economy started failing when Pakistan constitution was distorted by Zardari Nawaz mafia in 2010 by 18 amendments, , Ishaq Dar was one of the culprits in 18 amendments, which destroyed Pakistan economy structure. Until constitution is restored never expect any good thing.
Until pakistani awam takes things in their hand nothing will happen. Indian people rebeled to government emergency in 1975 and booted government out of power. Pak Army tried annihilate east pakistan people and crushed them and east pakistan revolted and created Bangladesh which is doing much better than pakistan. Pakistan awam fears for their lives from pal army, landlords and politican/ruling class and never resisted their injustices and suffering now. Army ruled 55 years out of 75 years and still blame politician class for full failure.
