- In this video, we visit Cataloochee Valley in North Carolina inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This area is one of the more remote areas in the Smokies. Is it worth the trip? Watch the video and let me know what you think.

I miss this park. I installed the restrooms in the park years ago. It was a great job that took me to places in the country that I wouldn’t have know existed. I would love to come back to this park someday.
Very beautiful my wife and went there last May for our 25th anniversary had a great time
That is awesome! Thanks for watching.
Beautiful!! It’s so peaceful!!! Like a not so crazy Cades Cove. And the Elk ❤
It really is!
I loved this video. Not boring at all. I like off the beaten path places and this shows how people lived over a hundred years ago. What a special place. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Love The Smokies TY. 😊
Thanks for watching.
Love the video but please try to slow down the panning shots.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll work on that. Probably my ADD working subliminally on me. 😀
The part is so pretty. WE love going there, but the road scares me, but worth it when you get there. Thank you for sharing.
It really is! You have to creep really slow around some of those curves. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful drive
Must been awesome to have lived there😅
Thank u for the video
Where is this?
Hi. It's Cataloochee valley near Maggie Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in TN. It's about an hour and forty minutes from Gatlinburg TN. Thanks for watching.
Cataloochee is on the North Carolina side.
Yeah, that 3 mile stretch is really intense when you are pulling a camper and passing a lot of traffic going the opposite direction. My wife was really pale by the time we finally reached the campground. We are going back the last week in Sept. It's the same week we were there 3 years ago. We love to go during the elk rut to hear the bulls bugle.
It's definitely intense. I couldn't even imagine pulling a camper through there. I did drive through the campground a bit. Seems nice and secluded unlike the busier areas of the smokies.
