- Well, actually, it's 12 cards, 1 kit this month--lol! Simon Says Stamp's June card kit is a beauty, and I couldn't stop making cards. It's called Fly Me Away, and it features the gorgeous stamp set called Beautiful Flowers. The pattern papers included in this kit are full of watercolor backgrounds and hot air balloons. The kit is packed with fun products, including a new 3D embossing folder from Tim Holtz and Distress Resist Spray. Head to my blog for pictures of all the cards I created using this fabulous kit!

What a great way to make great use of patterned paper. All of these cards are fabulous. I love the way embossing adds a little something. All the color combos are very nice. You are a great at coloring

I’m catching up on some older videos tonight. I didn’t even realize I had this card kit until recently. I found it in my closet, still unopened. It was like Christmas in July...for real! I really enjoyed this video. Sure didn’t seem long to me. I much prefer these longer ones over the heavily edited and/or sped up ones we see more frequently in 2021. I know the younger generation prefers things fast, but I’m working on over the hill speed nowadays 😜TFS and God bless!

Your cards are beautiful! You had some really great tips, using the strips of paper, masking the flowers, and stamping the flower twice, coloring in one and leaving the other as a tonal, then cutting it apart to create the 2 cards. That was one of my favorites! Also, your coloring is great, I wish mine would look like yours! Thanks for sharing, I look forward to seeing more of your ideas.

I love the ways you used the patterned paper! It is my favorite part of the kit, so much so that I used it all up right away after I got my kit. I even used the cover sheet, the part that shows a strip of each of the papers - I thought it was too pretty to waste. I might have to get another pack of the paper because I am quite inspired by your card ideas. I also stamped the flowers on two of the plainer papers, but the peachy pink one you used looked amazing. My great aunt wanted to take a hot air balloon ride for her 93rd birthday so the first thing I did with his kit was to make her a card with the purple balloon paper :)

Just found you too. I’m always gluing strips of left over paper too, even on envelope. Could I give you a tip? I discovered using my grab and pick up tool to pick up sequins and place them, eventually ruined the tip of the tool. I also figured out that the glue seeping up thru sequin hole, did the deed. I now use an old cheap crayon (preferably lite colored) to place sequins. The handy tool works well on pearls or gems, just be careful to use the glue sparingly. Love your techniques ! I will gladly mail you the hot air balloon papers out of my kit. Rancher-Sandhills people here love horses or even 4-wheelers. I will never use hot air balloons on a card!

Thank you, Christine!! My heat gun is from The Paper Studio, and I bought it at Hobby Lobby. I like it okay. It wasn't very expensive--I used their 40% off coupon. I understand the best one on the market is a Wagner.
Such fantastic ideas!! I am so inspired!! I wonder if you would consider removing the Jackie's Craft Table logo from the bottom left of the screen? It's quite large and blocks the view of what you are doing, and is just a bit distracting. Perhaps you could put it at the top left instead? So glad to have discovered your channel!!
