YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!! I love that rock and metal shows aren't just Boy's Club meetings anymore (well... whenever we can have them again). I've known more than a few incredibly talented women who play or played music they weren't exactly fond of because of some incredibly lame stigma through the years. A female lead role in heavy music used to be a novelty (not to say they were bad at making the music, but which chromosomes your [insert band position here] were born with shouldn't be your band's selling point. Lately, though, it seems people are finally listening to every punk song they'd heard telling you to just be your own god damn self. Where once was novelty, talent has risen. The ladies have been quiet and well behaved for much too long and now they're making some fuckin noise! What an era to be alive in!
