Murphy was one of the first prominent mashup artists I've come across alongside Yuzoboy & later down the line, KenJones3023. Alongside non-mashup remixers like TheLegendOfRenegade, they were the users who influenced me in the concept of VG mashups & mixes.
Months ago, Tee Lopes dropped a fantastic remix of Ristar's round 5 theme, "Ring Rink" - I just had to make a mashup of that & All Star! Murphy's channel has been inactive for over a decade now, hopefully nothing terrible has happened to him. If anything, here's hoping that he's out there enjoying life!

It’s hurts to learn of Steve Harwell’s passing. I may not be well versed in Smash Mouth songs, but it always brighten my day when listening to that legendary voice.

Just found out about Steve's passing this morning, so I just had to come back here.
This mashup is _so_ FUN. It is so... _FUN._ It *_always_* brightens my mood and improves my day. And even though from now on it's with a tinge of sadness, it's still such a hell of a feel-good jam. I'm glad Murphy inspired you, the same way you inspire me, and hopefully many others. #riplegend ✊😇

Oh wow, didn't expect to see combo again, man reminds me of when I found murphy's channel in high school and downloaded some of his mashups onto my mp3 player, his ristar mashup being on of them. Good times, I still miss him. Glad to see a very nice tribute to him. Happy new year as well shan
