    Very interesting video to see what kind of work you do for rope access and what the work and gear you use look like, especially for me as a rock/ice/mountain climber! I had a couple of questions though, hopefully you can answer them.
    Is there a reason why you work with a twin instead of single rope? And why did both of you drill/place those two anchors, it looked like your main rope would have already covered the entire work height? Thanks, and stay safe!

      Hello there, for industrial work like Rope Access you are required to use 2 rope. 1 is for working, the other is for backup incase of emergency. I haven't came across a rope technicians who work with only single rope.
      Coming to your second question. The reason why bolt the two anchors is because we wanna get closer to the window, we clean those windows. Again, the rule is to never be alone. Always have a buddy & a backup plan before abseil down. Hope it clarifies. Cheers.

    My stomach was queasy just watching the video :) No way I am climbing over that ledge on just two ropes. I would need my main, my backup, a backup to my backup, a backup to my backups backup etc and even then I am not sure I could.

    Hi, what is the chemical you pumped before the bolt??

    • @iheartropetech9789
      @iheartropetech9789  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi there, that is not a chemical. Its just we pumped out the dust and small stones inside so that the bolt could go in much easy and hold securely. It blows everything inside after we drill them.

      Oil Rig Jobs sorry my friend, we use Hilti M12 concrete wall plug along with the Petzl hangar. Also, it has been certified and pull tested. We didn’t have the clip of the test since its been done by the Hilti technician. @@iheartropetech9789 AHHH yea i see these guys using those products, i was just wondering. I have a question, next month july, i am getting both IRATA and SPRAT lv1 certified. Where are people getting jobs with no experience?

    • @iheartropetech9789
      @iheartropetech9789  Před 4 lety +1

      Oil Rig Jobs don’t you just need one of them? Here in my country mostly we use irata. For the job with no experience part its quite hard to say. Where you from? I’d say try to approach rope access companies and send CV to them. If you are lucky, you’d get the job fast. It took almost 8 months for me to get a job after i finished my irata course. Good luck!

      @@iheartropetech9789 thank you the answer, yes normally only need the one, but ime told having both can litterally make finding a job much easier, since there is not a lot of sprat certified people in canada for wind turbine work, and window cleaning with are the only real industries that require them
