Sorry about the blotchiness I have no clue what the heck is going on!!
It's compression artifacts. If you don't have them in the file you uploaded, look up what file format and settings youtube likes (they have a page) and export to that instead. If they're also in the file, then adjust your export settings to compress less.
Looking like a plan. I love it when a plan comes together.
Scrolling through videos to watch my 7 year old goes, “oh pick that one, I love this guy!” 😊
That is awesome!
D-Boss! Great utility video, they like sand down here, always bring a ton or two to pad waterlines especially with the rocky soil, I’ve seen plenty of pin holes in lines from a rock sitting on them in both copper and plastic lines, also always bring the smoothie bucket to peel the soil off the lawns and for the money shine I bust out the bigdog redmax backpack blower and it gets every speck of dirt in the trench and off the lawn for the sweet finish…that’s how weee do it! Oh and I left a comment on mountain boy’s buying a rock truck video saying give D-Boss! some props for the help…you hooked him up! Thanks for the video…D-Boss! for governor!

Nice cold work. No offense but thank the Lord I live in North Carolina. LOL
Someday Mike Someday!
Wow that was very interesting and informative! I really enjoyed how you actually educate us about the job and excavation techniques. As a homeowner I have rented and operated small excavators and have a small Kelly 30 on a Ford 1310. It’s nice to watch an experienced professional and learn more! Most CZcamsrs just run their equipment and don’t share tips and tricks.
Thanks all my videos are informative
Hudson valley rail and river and air ♥️ 😍
We will welcome the new year with the BIG GUY, "DIRT BOSS" hitting 50,000. Everyone, since we all love him, his family & his capabilities tell a few friends and ask them to SUBSCRIBE - IT'S FREE and no one with ever bother you! God bless all of you!
Ótimo trabalho like abraço
Hi Mike.
Merry Christmas!
As a licensed plumber I was open to listening to ideas. You never know when a new idea might pop up that would be useful. You saying using the existing pipe as a sleeve was the homeowners idea is a perfect example of keeping an open mind.
Ed from Chicago 🙂
Us plumbers are always constantly learning something new despite working 20+ years haha
First off, I see NO BLOTCHINES! Video starts: Bing, Bang, Boom - you promptly and decisively describe the situation and lay out your plan (never miss a beat!) We all sit back and watch it happen JUST AS YOU SAID & with many variables and house furthest from the street. Job done & you plan ahead for new grass! Little you CANNOT do!
Thanks buddy!
Think I may have alluded to this in the past - you know this work is done but never realize, really, that it takes a lot of thought and care in installation avoiding all other utilities. Great work.
Thanks
Thank you for the 4k. Need to get the other Dirt, Dig and Diesel boys on board.
You're welcome for some reason it's blotchy on my end I'm not sure if it is for you guys but it's driving me nuts!!!
Good Mini Excavator👍
The picture just maybe jerked a couple times, but it was good quality, maybe it was just you working fast to stay warm😅
I was
Thanks for the video Mike. I was always curious what it looks like at the roadside connection. Now I know!
Glad to help
Bloody great job 👌🇦🇺
First class for any work.
The Boss is best!
Merry Christmas to you and your Family Mike!!!!🎅🏻
Thanks buddy you too!
I put it on the big screen and was only blotchy in the trench one time. Thanks for the video!
Good stuff!
Excellent job Mike. Very nice step by step instructional installation.
Thanks 👍
Dude your smart, experienced and explain everything well. Great tips for us beginners. Thanks sharing your time and hard work. 👍
I appreciate that!

Nice work, that house has a deep setback. Are you getting a new shop building for Christmas? HA
I wish!
Enjoyed, thanks. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄🎄 to you and your family ‼️ We Love the camera you have now, keep up the good work 👍
Thanks you too
12/21/22. A+Mike on another good job! Much enjoy your on site, step-by-step commentary as you ever so casually slide your bucket, dump the soil, insert new plastic water line thru internal opening of old pipe to target area in crawl space below client house. Enjoyed the step-by-step talk the viewer through your project. Great job! Now time for ☕ coffee & warm up!👍👍👍😊🛠
Thanks for that!
Professor D. B., at it again, another top notch and clarity 👌 video to enlighten his people. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
Same to you!

Mikey Mike...forget about it! this 4k is amazing seeing it on your channel. I mean I've seen it before but wow your detail just pops Man!! 4K= APPROVED✅
Really that's good to hear because on my end it's super blotchy but I don't know what's going on I looked at all the settings just now and I had them all right but thanks for the feedback
@@DIRT-BOSS Yeah, I did see a little "Aperture Hunting" ...ah, it's like the camera is having a hard time deciding where to set the light for those down in the trench shots.
Love that trench compactor. Merry Christmas bud.
Thanks, you too!
Come on boss man let’s break 50k by the end of the year, merry Christmas to you and the family sir xx

Thanks, you too!
4K is giving fantastic resolution, makes Full Screen much more enjoyable.. Have a nice Christmas weekend.
Thanks, you too!
You do nice neat work Mike!
Thanks 👍
hey mike if you do 4k for people requesting it I think you have to also record at a higher rate like 60 or 120 but I don't think its worth the extra time and memory it takes you, you're 1080 videos look great anyway!
Yes I don't know I just put the camera on 4K and let it go I got to look into it it should have been set at 60
@@DIRT-BOSS don’t kill yourself man. Like I said the 1080 vids you put out are already crisp as can be. Hey if you’re ever down on Long Island let me know, that’s where I am.
Merry Christmas. Good video.
You too
Thanks, you too!
Nice job boss man, the 4k looked first class. Blotchy? I thought that was the camera struggling in the dull trench light. Didn’t bother me.
Thanks
Boss man… I’m thinking a whole video series…
Step By Step with Mike & Mike!!!
Having it filmed in 4K… boss, you two are ready for a slot on HG-TV.
I hope y’all have a wonderful Christmas.
PS: the 4K is awesome.
Thanks SV you too!
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Same to you!
Hi Mike,
Might of missed it, didn't see a riser installed on top of shot off valve. In case of emergency a water key could be used. (Most cities require it, since meter is after it.... they don't want to pay for wasted water)
Great job, another great video
Merry Christmas, happy, prosperous and most of all healthy new year to you, your family, friends and viewers
Yes I showed in the video and then it's painted blue on the last clip
Thanks for the awesome content as usual Mike!!! Perfect picture don’t know what you meant about that??? I’d like to wish you Mrs DIRT BOSS and the children a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🎆🎊!!!! I guess I’ll be seeing you next year!!LOL!!!! Hopefully I won’t be seeing any of the white stuff by me on Long Island!!!!
Thanks Henry you too!
Merry Christmas
Same to you!
زوايه تصوير رائعة
nice work as usual, wish they let us use plastic, copper only
Thanks
some of the video was artifactting, specially in the shadows and darker scenes. overall better quality, if you are able to, always record in the highest refresh rate possible. 👍👍
Noted!
Man that's a big trench for that little 3/4in pipe.
Got to have room to work
Needed a bigger bucket for that large pipe 😂
Nice work Mike .👍
By the way Mike , did you know from Andrew Camarata what is his final project on the mountain ?
Thanks as of right now it's just installing a road from the bottom to the top he does have plans but they're kind of his plans out of respect I will let him tell you all!
@@DIRT-BOSSthanks Mike 👍 . And of course DB i will respect that too 🤗👍
I love how smooth your jobs go! My bosses should really watch ur videos lol. How come you guy don’t use copper coil? Over here in Canada we have to use copper underground
Thanks we do sometimes..but they have changed over
Hope everyone is well for the holidays I was curious why didn't the home owner have you cut the well pipe below grade and cap it off to eliminate it.
Yes not sure
❤❤ Merry Christmas 🎄 ❤❤
Same to you!
Why would a homeowner want to pay for city water when they have a well? Tainted water, broken pump? Pretty slick sliding the new pipe into the old one!
Yes when water table gets high he got alot of sediment in the system
Hows the hose fittings on that Diesel compactor? I know their tilt bucket hose set up has been an ongoing work in progress. Wish they did the R & D instead of us .
Yes I agree I think all attachments should come set up turn key ready to go this diesel compactor was TurnKey it had everything all you do is hook up the quick connect to your machine
I’m seeing lots are artifacting in the video. I just know that it has something to do with the post processing settings.
Yeah I don't know I never seen none of my videos do this I'm about to take it down!!!!
Hey Mike just found out about your channel through Andrew, whereabouts are are you located?
Thanks Albany NY
Do you guys up there in Albany have 3” class 54 ductile iron pipe for water service because over here in Queens I can’t find any
Ill let you know tomorrow
@@DIRT-BOSS they are mj by plainend or push on
are there torque specs for those compression fittings?
No just 2 ugga-dugga's
Man I miss running track hoe I used to be on a utility crew and sometimes I would run a track hoe When the foreman wasn’t around and there’s a lot of times that I would make my ditches a whole lot safer and better than my foreman and he used to be inspector for water and and sewer and you would think that inspector would do amazing job digging his hole and making it safe for his guys and not yelling and his guys when they’re trying to tell him to make it more safer made made me more knowledgeable of knowing that I’m more of a operator than this inspector used to be inspector and so now I’m doing drywall again but it’s not something I would like to do I love digging dirt I love making holes a clean job is a good job do you want your customers to show up on the job sites saying wow I want this guy to do my next job or your client or whoever you don’t wanna leave big piles of dirt like my old foreman used to be so one day I will start my own Excavating company Because I love it the most and I know that that I can be very good at it and lotta people tell me that you know winner sucks but there is some things that you can do in winter time but it’s what I love to do I’ve been through a lot of jobs and I’m 27 years old and I don’t wanna working for anyone I want to I wanna work for myself make all the money
I'm curious if the well water was bad, or what the reason was that the customer switched to city water? Having grown up in the water well business I'm always a proponent of well water.
Yes was high water table & getting alot of settlement on flooding
nice job .if your old way of filming is faster go back to it
50 times faster😆
Where does the meter go/is the meter in this situation?
In the house
I recently had my water supply from my meter to my house spring a leak. I paid $200 dollars for a plumber to put a clamp on the line to stop leak. Said pipe is 50 years old and is rusted and pitted and needed to be completely replaced. I am 72 years old and on a fixed income and the replacement cost he gave me was $2500, I can't do the work myself but as of now i have a clamp on my line. but to replace 35 to 40 feet of line from meter to house seems too expensive, the pipe is only 1 1/2 feet deep. Does that seem like too much for that job?
It all depends where you're from but that's a roundabout average price
Was the well contaminated? Is that why they switched to public?
No just when the postenkill creek rises they get sediment
1080 is A-OK. Anything higher than that is for geeks with seriously expensive gear and internet bandwidth to suit. So how many of those are out there and is it worth your effort equipment and processing time. Would rather that extra was used for quality content than higher and questionably useful quality image.
I hear ya
you always put sand where the shutoff is when your burying it,,easy to find and dig out later,,whats that pipe above the connection,,the shitter pipe,
No Gas line..this town never does sand I was shocked
@@DIRT-BOSS save money on no sand, xtra work
We're d0es the meter go?
In the house
Tracer wire?
Not required
@@DIRT-BOSS that’s interesting, never been a jurisdiction where they didn’t require
@@fuzion430journey3 many states requires tracing wire on gas lines only.
@@alisciamarotta3888 yes and water lines and it’s usually not a state thing. It’s a local municipality.
That’s the worst pipe you can use! That black pvc junk
You rather blue?
@@DIRT-BOSSYes Sir! The company I work for will not use the black pvc under any circumstance.
