@@oasislearnersacademy6705 Our forefathers are not originally from Africa. They came from the Levant Region and then migrated into Africa due to wars in the Levant Region. When they arrived in East Africa they started feeling a bit more secure and named their first settlement Tanganyika literally meaning our country start here or simply new beginnings in a new country. They brought with them crops and animals that are not indigenous to Africa eg mhunga, ipwa, manhanga , cattle and goats. These crops and animals were not being farmed in Africa by the original settlers of sub Saharan Africa ie the Khoisan etc. Many ancient mbira songs are about migration and the fact that the wars had killed and/or displaced our people from their original home eg Ndiudzeio kwakaenda vamwe( please tell where my relatives are located) Hurombo mugara ndega( I am poorer without them) Randiremera sango( reference to leaving settled areas into the wilderness proper where their lives and that of their animals were in danger. Our language is very old and has similar vocabulary to ancient Hebrew for example resha is resva a mistake, Chata or shata a sin, Ben vene owners of etc. I already wrote a book about this it's available on takealot.com or other online book stores. We shall officially launch the book in December this year.
Mbira has been westernised so much with glamour That we now dance without really listening by the heart. Knowing that most mbira players are singing about the end of the world, it sounds like a nostalgia once you realise our purpose on earth is told over and over... until it's not, but a fragment of a song... Wake up Zimbabweans! wake up! And smell the fresh air You are not welcomed here on earth regardless of changing your identity, your birth right Mbira was never meant to be sold it was a deep sacred archive to knowing what your ancestors did and would be passed down. Little do you know That this so called "instrument" Is of ancient Persian roots So how did it get here? In the hands of the inorganic ones they stole it from you and gave you imitations and false promise of Christianity with a piano. I tell you this Zimbabwe The day you realise there is no God Is the day you will wake up shook to your core from the deep trauma. The future generations that read this, the message that the ancestors instilled in us is that if you don't Humble yourself to this word that the colonizer uses "NATURE", it is in fact far much deeper than what we are being perceived or shown by today's world we stem from the unknown. Future generation, know that They are world's within worlds in which you come into and out off. And the song of this world has already been played through our Mbira for the whole entire earth all you need to do is listen carefully.
Preach brother, its about very time we re-member with our ancestors and go back to our ancient ways thats when we regain our power and dignity... I'm from Tanzania but I connect with my African roots, I wish to learn more also. Love, light and truth your msjesty✊🏾

An online friend tells me this is Shona language...and what's more sweet, he gave me the interpretation.
