FILM DESCRIPTION:
As a transplant from Boston, teenager Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) gets a big dose of culture shock when he moves to a small Southern town called Bomont. A few years prior, a fatal accident involving five youths led local councilmen and a beloved clergyman (Dennis Quaid) to enact ordinances against loud music and dancing. Ren -- never one to toe the line -- challenges the ban, simultaneously revitalizing Bomont and falling in love with the clergyman's troubled daughter (Julianne Hough).

Julianne's moves combined with the way she flips her hair all around - is just - pure divine magic.
Honestly though
Kelley Broussard AkeriaRivers True
Her hair is nice!!!🥰🥰🥰
She absolutely killed this! 🤩
Kelley Broussard she is an exceptionally talented individual.
So many professional dancers at the same bar. Crazy.
Must be a bar in Hollywood
They were there celebrating their victory in a dance competition. True story
Its line dancing. Everyone just memorizes the steps. Hell I even used to know this one.

oh yeah y
I'm a sucker for this particular scene. The music and dancing is wonderful. When you watch a scene and suddenly feel the urge to listen to music you don't normally listen or dance the way you normally don't dance, that is a great scene.
Lies again? Round up partners for a ball of a good time. Seemed to be a way of working out a sweat

😂😂😂 Sure. Okay. Show me where this is "great?"
Amen
This makes me want to learn how to line dance

Ditto!
In all honesty it's not so much learning, it's just going along with everyone else and feeling the flow of the music
i'll bet there's a youtube video about it...the rest is just gettin' on out there and movin' until it feels right.
Can we talk about how underrated country songs can be, some of them are really good and energetic
Not underated over here.
Not at all.
🏴
Heck, I wish they would play Fishing in the Dark on all the stations besides just country. It's a great song with a great sound that crosses all genres.
Not American, but i like country music hhh
Yeah just not this one
They’re overrated. 0 talent, 0 meaning, 0 art. Hence why no country artist can sell a ticket outside of this dumb country. Even in America, people that actually live a true “country” lifestyle seldom listen to country music.
I like how Willard didn't get upset when his friend was dancing with his girl he could tell it was just dancing
And then comes the villian to tries to forceable dance with her makes me wanna rip his head off
Yup! That’s best of a friend when you can trust them
Quite refreshing to see, to be honest.
I was worried it'd be the cliche "jealous" moment that'll sour relationships.
I didn't see Rusty dance with anybody other than Ren.
Perhaps in the movie that happened, but not this video.
People think stuff like this isnt real life.....clearly never been to a popular country bar. I live in the city and there are A LOT of patrons who all know all the big line dances. Not so uncommon lol
😎 which country is it?
Courteney Perry EUA
I know what you mean I love Wyoming so much! The country music and the people everything it’s amazing! Sadly I don’t live in the state but I can always go for some vacation 😉
not country but ive been to bars that have crazy line dancing being done up in boston
Right. There is this massive country bar here in Tampa called The Dallas Bull. Walk in at the right time and it like a damn scene from a movie. Lol!!
I love how Will laughs when Chad dances with his gf but when it was someone else he got upset and started a fight. That shows how much he trusts Chad
Well what's a best friend then?
That was Ren that dance with his girlfriend that he doesn’t mind but if it was someone else then he’ll get upset and start a fight.
@@matttaylor8161 yeah I don't know where I got Chad from haha.
Well Will knows Ren is crazy for Ariel, so he wasn't really threatened. But he knows the other man who danced with her is looking for something extra.
Guy who can dance meets mixed martial artist (2022 footloose).
The one thing I liked about this movie is that they actually had the main people dance with other people like the main guy dances with other women and it’s just fun and no one gets mad
This is what its like with folk dances too.
😗😗😗😚
Julianne Hough is a goddess.
Yes she is
You betcha! I’ve seen her live onstage and she’s all energy, totally sick body
jennifersman so true
For sure
Agreed
Being in a bar like this and dancing like this is now on my bucket list
just go to nashville theres a lot of that
thats how my sister and my brother in law met
@@BrookeButterworth Thank you for the advice. I'll put Nashville on the travel list:)
The first time I saw this scene I made the same decision
It's called a honky tonk, learn some line dances first lol
Wear something you can sweat in. Gets very hot on the dance floor
This is a great, exciting scene, and shows that country line dancing can be elevated to a higher level. During the last 20 years that I’m doing line dancing, I never saw something like this. I feel impressed by the enthusiasm by the young dancers, the clapping , the footwork and such to good country rock music.(“Fake I.D.” by Big and Rich, featuring Gretchen Wilson).
@UCyWgMB5oWm5aYC90M6sB6cw probably, you are privileged regarding country line dancing. Probably, you are living in the USA? I am living in the Netherlands, and I regularly go to country festivals where they always give country line dancing either to good live music or from computer. But not one single time , I saw dancing to the music of “Fake I.D.” I should have seen the “Footloose” movie (2011 version).
I will make it my life goal to learn this dance flawlessly
How’s that coming?
It’s totally possible! I taught myself from a CZcams video
@@faithalger8296 which video did you use?? i’d love to learn this dance as well!!!
I have seen the original footloose but not this one!! This scene is making me wanna dance!!! I should see this version!!
Angel D365 if you just watch them as two fun movies and don't compare I think you'll love it. It's a fun and cute movie
I need to see the original lol I've only seen this one
shaylen sanders i think i will!! I love dancing and musical movies!! They really are my thing!!
shaylen sanders the original is amazing! It's a classic along with grease!!
I don´t like this version at all
It is just me or she looks a lot like Jennifer Aniston??!😱
I thought that when a watched the movie
Actually she looks like Gisele (a Victoria's Secret model) and Jennifer Aniston combined
No U❤️😊👍
I thought that she was Jennifer Aniston for minute lol
Same
In the disco era, Japan's clubs were all line dancing, it was a good way to meet friends, just get out on the dance floor.
I love this movie I love how Ren taught Willard how to dance half-way through the movie
Im laughing how he didnt teach at the starting of the film. Only when prom was set!
Anybody watching this in social isolation because of the covid virus?
...wondering... will we ever again get to experience a fun night out like this dancing with friends?
This scene used to be so relatable.
The world has changed.😭
I'm watching on lock down too LOL!!
We will get past this then the whole world will be dancing right along with you my friend. Keep looking to God and he will get us all through these scary times together
Lmao me too. And yes, the world will resume to the way it was before. Just stay home for now and hope for the best :)
@Ned Flanders no I'm not Catholic why
@Ned Flanders God is not exclusive to Catholics. You ask strange questions. You're a creep, gtfo of youtube.
''No sir we don't have that here.'' But we have line-dancing...👌
Man, there’s nothing like country line dancing. Cotton Eyed Joe, Boot Scootin’ Boogie, and Any Man of Mine are some of my favorites. Once you learn the steps, you never forget them! Lol At least, that’s the case when you grow up in the south and line dancing comes up at every wedding, party, and family gathering 😂
(pre-Covid of course 😭)
Yes!, awesome!!😃
I moved from Texas to Massachusetts and this is making me miss line dancing in the honky-tonks so much! I went only a few times a year when I was back home, and now I wish I had gone all the time
I really like this scene....the dancing is so good!!!
This is honestly a vibe
the whitest feeling I’ve ever had is being attracted to this
SAMEEEE
me too, to be honest.
ukg corky don’t even
@@Ana-ly5ek shut up you little sket
😂😂😂
I took years of dance and enjoyed all the seasons of "So you think you can Dance", which bring the best together, like Travis. Julianne Hough is absolutely a pleasure to watch. I love her dancing she is so committed. She is just a lovely and gorgeous dancer.
Замечательная группа а танцуют просто космически .Браво 1000 раз❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Whenever I'm sad this dance make me feel good
They are so amazing. I want to look at them all the time 😁
Damn, this is totally different from the line dancing I see at my local community centre.
This made me wanna get out of bed and dance🙃
This is my dad at a bar, he knows every line dance there is😂
Best movie choreography ever. period.
It's funny for those who criticize the fantasy of this many dancers being in sync...clearly you've never been to a country bar or honky tonk on the weekends. Obviously you'll have a few people who aren't very good, but majority of the dance floor is always filled with regulars who dance in very good sync with one another. Line dancing (4 wall dancing) is super easy to learn, and yes majority of us wear western boots (even us city boys lol)
True that
I could never keep up with this line dancing!!!! I've taken inline dancing classes and we never went to this level
The comments saying people don’t actually dance like this have clearly never been to Texas ...
It's kind of the like saying the same that Bavarians don't actually wear lederhosen.
okay sandy cheeks
When I saw this movie when it came out I thought all highschoolers were going to look like Julianne Hough
quarantine plus boredom equals me learning this dance. Here we go...
Same. About to start now hahaha 😂
Não cansa..... MARAVILHOSO
Okay, the dance, the vibe and the song! It's on fire, so hot 🔥
Julianne Hough ❤❤❤❤ makes the world a better place with this dance!!! Brilliant and bless you for posting
36 years old and I'm gonna watch this for the first time....looks amazing!! 🕺🏼
i think i first watched it when i was 18 lol
well it's not woke so you are going to enjoy it.
Awesome scene in this film. I love it!
I love the footloose dance line dancing I do it everyday until I get it right but I took weeks to do it but it was fun yay !!!
omfg that’s Kenny Wormald HE MADE KAOS
This scene makes me so happy every time
This makes me happy too!
I really liked the remake! Very enjoyable to watch!
It would take me ages to learn one of these
Can I move somewhere like this??? HOW. FUNNNN????!!!!
I love this song because it makes me want to go out dancing 🕺
I love this movie even though I'm not a country music person but this looks so fun haha
I learned the whole dance after this scene lmaooo
I so want to do something like this when I am older looks so fun
Love this song it's awesome makes me wanna get up every time and start country line dancing again!😃
Hello Serena, Johnny has passed through alot and i pray the trials should favoured him... hope you are doing so well
2021 and i can't stop watching this
Ребята танцуют просто фантастически .браво🤗👍
At my high school, I took a dance class as gym credit, while we were doing our country dance unit, we learned this dance (or tried to).
I thought all the schools were closed due to covid.
@@aaronweiser5421 This was years ago; I'm in college now

I LOVE line dancing it is SO much FUN!
this is a brilliant movie. I sorrowly enjoied the line dancing.
One of my most favorite enjoyable remakes
Especially in this scene since the social skills and pop culture in my school had all focus to hate country music and i emulated them cause I felt the same reasons why
But this film was exactly like Grease to me
I freaking love line dancing
I’ve always wanted to learn this dance
Julianne Hough really is an American beauty
Pre-Covid: No one would ever ban dances/gatherings in real life
During-Covid: Does anyone have a barn I could borrow?
The original Footloose had so much more magic.
One word: PERFECT
I first seen something like this at the Thorny Rose outside of Denver CO, man blew my mind seeing about 50 cowboys & cowgirls doing the cupid shuffle & not missing a beat!!
I loved this scene!
I live in Houston and when their a party it looks like this. We all know footloose dance and the footloose song
Cooperhead road comes on and your drunk aunt knocks over two cousins getting to the dance area. Ah good times
I watched this movie a loooong time ago. Couldn't remember the name of it, or any characters, or even what it was about. I remembered today this cool dance in it, so I just typed "cowboy dancing in movie" and this was at the very top. So even CZcams knows which cowboy dance scene in movies slaps the most and kindly put it at the top for me.
Love this show
Julianne Hough is just straight up badass. On of the best remakes I've seen
Julianne is very good dancer and beatificul girl
I didn't even know they remade footloose until just now.
This movie was so great
Love this movie
Wish I had a bar like this in town, damn... I would get on the dancefloor even if I didn't know the moves
Nice!
Der Film ist so mega einfach hammer 😍😍👍👍👍👍💯
Really Wonderful
This Footloose version was o.k., but the original was AWESOME!!!! Kevin Bacon in his solo dance was the best!!!
I was so confused, because I didn't remember this scene at ALL...and then I noticed it said 2011. LOL I didn't even know they remade Footloose - of course in 2011 I was knee deep in raising middle schoolers and going to grad school. Anyway, cool scene!
Beautiful
looove this movie and this scene
its all about the perfect hair day baby
When people ask why I don’t line dance anymore:
“If you fell at the Grizzly Rose and got curb stomped you’d have PTSD too”
Thanks for uploading this vid, I now know what a line dance is
Super! Bravo! Merci beaucoup!
The thing I always hated is that in both movies, there is a clear "authoritarian villain", and it isn't Rev. Shaw Moore. it is Councilman Cranston, Chuck's father. that is one thing I like about the remake.. it makes it much clearer that Moore's pain at the loss of his son was used as an excuse... while Cranston allowed his own son to have a cottage industry on "bootleg" stuff.
I don’t know what to do but I know I have a lot of time
She was gorgeous in this movie loveee this hair color
god i'm literally obsessed with this
Imagine being able to dance
Sad thing is that the bar/club this was filmed at is now gone. Cowboys or Electric cowboys in Kennesaw, Ga was torn down to make way for a mixed community ( shopping and apartments).
I danced to it and I love line dancing
i loved this film
That looks really fun man where' s that at
In America you can find a lot of country bars that do line dances!! Mainly in the Southern States like Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Virginia. Or you can just look up on google country line dancing bars, you’ll probably be able to find one.
0:57 why is no one taking about this mans hips?
Klasse und Tanze 👍👏
With covid-19 there isn't nobody shaking there beautiful bodies like that
So this is where Rooster picked up singing and dancing, nice
