Thank you for highlighting Jaleo and Pepe...restaurants by Chef Jose Andres.
Chef Andres is an amazing selfless and compassionate person who started and heads World Central Kitchen, a charity that goes all over the world and feeds people in disaster areas, war, etc. He just recently lost 7 volunteers who were killed in Gaza serving meals to those who are suffering getting food. It's an amazing charity that could use our support.
Kristen- completely disagree about Pepe. It isnât cheap Boarâs Head Ham⊠so it is going to be more expensive. Spanish ham and cheeses are higher quality and are supposed to be more expensive. It isnât Subway. Also a bikini sandwich is supposed to be slim. You should give it another chance and splurge for a different sandwich. They are truly amazing⊠but expect to wait a few minutes for the high quality of food you will receive. If you want premade low quality food, then Pepe isnât for you.
I could get a whole fish & chips entree at Cookes of Dublin for like $16 or filet mignon sliders from the Boathouse for like $22 đ đ
Agreed. The quality of those ingredients are expensive.
Yes! Pepe is the best quick service in DS.
Pepe use imported ingredients. đČđČ
I agree that Pepe is high quality & delicious. Iâd rather pay a little more for something Iâm going to eat every bit of compared to a bigger volume meal that Iâll throw 1/3 away⊠quality over quantity always!
We love PePe!! The super flauta with chorizo, cheese and tomatoes is the best one! And the chicken fritters are so yum!
Comparing Pepe to literally any other QS in WDW is comparing apples to oranges. The quality of the food can't be beat. Also, Chef Jose Andres is a wonderful humanitarian and spends his time feeding people in war torn countries such as Isreal and Ukraine with his non profit World Central Kitchen ( which deserves to be mentioned). Such a beautiful human.â€
I love that you are honest about the taste, cost and quality. It is impactful to a family coming to Disney. Thank you.
Same we need her reviews !!!
Yes! Someone describing everything as just âamazingâ is not helpful at all. These reviews are excellent đ€
Thank you again for filling us in on all of the great snacks at Disney Springs. We appreciate you and your videos.
Crazy on the birria! Ours was not sweet, only deliciously savory. Yours looked very different, too. Wondering what they gave you...đ§
Agree on Chicken Guy. It was the sauce range that made it stand out. We were visiting from the UK in December and I was so disappointed to see my favourite sauces had gone: Ranchero, Cumin Lime and Habanero. Also, they stuffed up my order, fried pickles missing and the sauces I could order were wrong - I had to go back inside and ask for it to be fixed đ basic stuff!
Sort it out Guy!
The steak sandwhich from Pepe was delicious and HUGE!
Agree and good point! Itâs actually really a sandwich for two!
Your honest is the best!! Keep up the awesome videos!! Canât wait to go back in October
I love this! Disney Springs can be so overwhelming with food choices. I love Chicken Guy ceasar salad! Itâs really amazingly good for a âquickâ stop food place.
The hot tenders look delicious, and Nashville Hot ANYTHING sounds amazing! đ€€â€ïžâđ„
Youâre paying the high prices at Pepeâs because of the owner, famous chef, Jose Andres. Flauta are corn tortillas filled with beef, pork or chicken deep fried and served with guacamole, queso or salsa as a dipping sauce.
Love your reviews, thank you. I need to try some of these on my next trip, especially the churros!
Chicken guy looked good, so do the churros! Great vlog.
I dont know if its a secret but, Art's hot sauce at, Homecomin' is outstanding. We always grab a bottle or if someone is visting orlando, they grab us one. It's so unique and flavorful.
Kristen: Jose thanks you for your donation to the World Kitchen. Btw the background music ( song) "Freak Out" by Chic was so appropriate given the crazy prices.
Love it !
Well, everything looked delicious, bummer something wasn't as good as it looked. Good to know.
Thanks for bringing us along! đ
You should still try it, Iâve had a lot of these things and they were all very good!! Food is subjective
The chicken croquettes are so good. Ate at Jaleo two nights in a row.
A slice of Gideons cake is so large it took 3 days to eat it. I agree my favorite is a cake slice but i get several cookies too.
Iâd highly recommend trying that steak sandwich at Pepe Kristen- itâs delicious & worth the money, imo. Even without aioli it would be perfect.
You got so dang lucky with Gideons!! The churros looked very good đ
As someone who has worked in the food industry I can understand why they had to cut down the amount of sauces at Chicken Guy. I could only imagine how much they wasted on a daily basis due to the amount of sauces they had in stock. It was a cool gimmick, but theyâre probably better off with the more limited menu.
Speaking of hidden...Enzos Hideaway is our go to and fave place at Disney Springs by far...
I have to a was a little disappointed with chicken guy. I was so looking forward to it. The Sauces were the best it.
YEAH HAPPY SUNDAY PAL!!â€đ
Happy Sunday! Have a great week!
Hmm my husband and I wanted to try chicken Guy until now... the whole POINT was the sauces! We can get tendies ANYWHERE. C'mon Guy, you ruined the gimmick.
I believe I read that Chicken Guy is behind on it's rent to Disney Springs. I think losing much of the sauces was a cost savings attempt. It's just trying to stay open.
Thatâs the location in Winter Park, FL I believe!
I donât know if 4 rivers changed their tacos at their Disney springs location but it absolutely is 100% birria and not shredded barbecue beef. They do have barbecue locations but they also have separate Mexican locations. Itâs completely authentic birria and not sweet at all. Maybe they changed but doubt it đ€·ââïž
Yeah idk what she's talking about. I've has those tacos at springs a few times - they're birria
Unleash the Fieri wigs
This was fun Didn't even know these places existed Must have passed them by a million times Fun vid
We used to visit the Chicken Guy here in Gatlinburg often, but it shut down a few months ago. It was some great chicken, esp the chicken sammy with avocado on it.
Oh man! Why did they close?!
We went to Chicken Guy last November in Gatlinburg. I didnât like the heat chicken. But it he 2 guys with taking in there looked like and acted like crack heads ,so Iâm not surprised they closed.
My message looks like those guys typed It. I didnât like the chicken and the guys working in there--
My daughter and I went there at least 6 months after it opened. Chicken was so dry and we got a bunch of sauces. Most we did not like, pretty tasteless. Only 2 were passable. Donât know why this happened but not going back. I love Boathouse.
You gotta give Cantina a second chance. Get the taco cone. Itâs the only thing we get from there. Itâs really good!!
I would love if you wouldâve tried one of the more popular options at Pepe. đ
Kristen, can you do a healthy option series for some of us?â€
Kristen, do they sell milk at Gideons? Looking forward to our trip in few weeks and I AM going to purchase those churros you have found!!
I agree with the birria tacos! They don't taste like birria tacos to me either... I miss the hot dog food truck they had.
Mojo= moho
Erin Mckenna's bakery has a gluten free Churro sandwich cookie that is sooooooo gooooood even if you are not gluten free.
I found the recipe online for Guy's Cuban Mojo sauce!
please share!
In New Jersey we call food trucks roach coaches and most food is bad and overpriced
BBQ sauced Birria? WTH?! I agree with you, not the flavor we looking for. I want a savory beef broth with heat notes. đ¶ïž
That sauce came from China thus no longer availableâŠ.just messing that sucks! Great video!
Mo-HO
Lol is it poop? They got lots of that these days and its overpriced.
