At the moment i have Vela 408.
Do you think that these concentro 509 are good enough to cover 50 sq metres living room without a subwoofer?

Hi there, yes these will sound like you have a sub but perfectly balanced bass. We had a customer we sold some to that had 2x svs subs and removed them once he received a set of these and his large high end B&W speakers needed the subs so cleaned his system up well and rang to say how good and large the bass is on these.
So yes to all of your questions bud and a big difference in bass to the 408’s.
